Description

To sell the philosophy of liberty to mainstream America, we must speak a language that the mainstream understands.

To move that mainstream politically, we must focus on winning supporters rather than philosophical purity contests and speak the language of those we seek to persuade.

That means finding common ground and not being dogmatic. It also means coming at people with Love, not self-righteousness.

Kettle Falls Five/ Rolland Gregg: The Feds choose to ruin the lives of a family who use medical marijuana, putting together an outrageous case and abusing so-called evidence. Usually the state is unknowingly assinine and abusive of your rights. Sometimes, its small-minded power-crazed officials are knowingly malevolent. I invite any of the agents involved in trying to make this harmless family miserable to come onto my show and explain yourself. Remember, "just following orders" was heard a lot at Nuremberg too. UKIP might right now be the world's most electorally sucessful libertarian-leaning party. I speak to its chairman on how they've done this. Description: EVERY American liberty activists needs to listen to this. The chairman of Nigel Farage's party tells us how it's done. And I am delighted to say that he explains what I've been trying to explain to the movement of the USA for years. Very interesting discussion on a legal and moral challenge to the state-sponsored, and taxpayer-funded exclusion of non-Republicans and non-Democrats from the democratic process Description: In more than 90% of major elections, the chosen representative is chosen not by the people in the district - but by a tiny minority in one main party or the other. And the system is set up to keep it this way. We discuss how to change that. (And Robin has a little rant about proportional representation.)
Paul switched from being a Republican liberty activist to a Libertarian one - and has just had a great experience running for the office of State Representative as an LP candidate. Paul has benefited from the emotional, practical and financial support of a new and improved state Libertarian Party. He did as well as the Republicans in the same, heavily Democratic District - and he's going to run again. Liberty folks are concerned with Feds' violation of civil rights. Frank Bibeau, an attorney, has made a career of defending the civil rights of the historically most disenfranchised community - Native Americans. Description: Frank Bibeau sees first hand what selective application of the law does to his Native American countrymen and explains why Property Rights matter most to the state's most vulnerable victims.
Currently in England, Robin speaks to his uncle, who has recently become a regional manager for UKIP, on his journey from Left-voting public worker to UKIP suporter. How and why UKIP is connecting with the disaffected British voter; how people's attitudes are changing in Britain, and what are UKIP's libertarian policies/principles.
Robin talks about the classes he has been giving in Europe these last two weeks and shares his impressions of Slovenia, considering the importance of culture to proposerity. The second part of the show is a compact version of an earlier interview with Jeffrey Tucker - one of Robin's most important interviews ever - entitled, "Against Libertarian Brutalism".
Zak Carter, Robin's good friend, and liberty media maven for Ben Swann and Blue Republican tells us about some big successes he's just had - and we discuss Obama's bomb-dropping
Dan is the man who built the new BlueRepublican.org site and smart phone apps, part of the new Blue Republican infrastructure for regaining our liberties. Description: Dan explains what sets Blue Republican apart from all pretty much all liberty organizations. What is the secret sauce that will enable Blue Republican to succeed where so many haven't??....
Ben's latest investigation exposes the deadly hypocrisy of our government - on the one hand locking people up for the medical use of marijuana, while on the other, taking out a a patent on it (yes, the government!) for medical purposes Sometimes you just can't make it up. We discuss the massive harm that is being done to milions of Americans through the prohibition of medical marijuana use, and the drug war more generally. Robin and Ben also discuss rising disillusionment with the same old establishment, and how we are beginning to see reactions in the culture, politics and media.
Juliet is Chairwoman of Blue Republican Minnesota. We discuss property rights, the proposed Sandpiper pipeline project, and the reassertion of treaty rights by Native Americans in her state. Description: Juliet also explains why she, a quaker, voluntaryist, and ideological anarchist, is engaging the political process and has chosen Blue Republican as her vehicle. We also discuss her inaugural event, "Does the Constitution Work? For whom?"
Barry Farber is a conservative talk show legend. He was a guest on my show two weeks ago, and then interviewed me a week later. The interviews opened up so many questions that I had to have him back on!Barry Faber explains why he is a neo-con but admits that he was wrong on Iraq. But, he explains, active American intervention has often been a force for good... but interventionists need to be much more savvy about the culture they are intervening in... and the Muslim world is unlike the rest.

Thomas Helwig established the Freigberg chapter of Germany's new "freedom party, the PDV. He's now in the US soaking up liberty American-style Description: We compare and contrast American vs. German freedom, American vs. EU state tyranny, and American vs. German liberty movements, all in both historical and cultural context.
Barry Farber is a conservative talk show legend. He's also a best-selling author, an amazing linguist and one of our country's greatest story tellers. Barry believes that ISIS poses a greater threat to the US than any it has faced in the living memory of all Americans, exacerbated by our porous southern border and the insincerity of Barack Obama.... A strong claim. (We also discuss, briefly, how the BBC helped win the Second World War - a lesson with a moral)
Robin and Zak/ Robin gives an update about Blue Republican Radio, discusses Zak's many hats as a liberty maven, and muses on the current immigration crisis The immigration question is not whether we should have immigrants, but on what terms they should be accepted. To be credible (and consistent), libertarians must address the reasonable concerns of affected Americans.
An unusual but fascinating show: Robin and KrisAnne discuss adoption and the morality of sperm donation, eventually getting to a very interesting consideration of the First Amendment. This show is inspired by a recent post on the Blue Republican facebook page, and is all the more fascinating for KrisAnne's personal experience around the inability to conceive.

Crowdsourcing is being used to establish a non-profit organic market in the "food desert" (complete absence of locally available fresh produce) of Beecher, MI. Best of all, it's a private project, being driven by a classical liberal, with the support of a progressive Democratic representative. Very Blue Republican indeed!
An eye-opening interview with Steve Sarich, long-time user of mediacal marijuana and the Executive Director of Cannabs Action Coalition The voters of Washington state, including many liberty folks, were hoodwinked into supporting a "legalization" bill that was a big step backward for basic civil rights.
