Technical difficulties are a part of everyday life. As much as we try to avoid them, they always seem to happen from time to time. That's precisely what happened after a recent recording of the podcast with Speedboat photographer Tom Leigh and videographer Carter Bahde. Myrick's internet was taking longer than the others so the "Bros" had to wait until the full episode had completed its upload. Being presumably "off the podcast," the Coil household returned to regular life. Then hilarity ensued. So Ray covertly started recording the "slime" madness and this is just part of what happened... The "Bros" talk with Steve Ticknor, the West Coast's premier performance boating event, the Desert Storm Poker Run and Shootout, scheduled for April 23-26, 2025. The long running event brings tens of thousands of people to the town of Lake Havasu City, AZ to experience all of the festivities, including the world famous Street Party on downtown McCulloch Blvd., the exciting Poker Run and the high speed, high adrenaline Shugrue's Shootout that showcases some of the fastest boats in the country. Champion Throttleman Rusty Williams joins the Bros as they discuss their awesome run of the infamous Dirty Duck 438 Skater, recording 202 mph at the 2024 Lake of thew Ozarks Shootout in late August. The Bros have offshore throttleman, Vinnie Diorio on again after a white knuckle Super Cat Class battle in Sheboygan, as Teams M-CON/Monster Energy and Austin Homes/SV Offshore Racing squared off at the 2024 Midwest Challenge. Vinnie, along with teammate driver Matt Jamnickzy nearly flipped their beautiful 39' Outerlimits race boat while charging for the first turn along with six other competitors.
