From 'Baseball Isn't Boring' (subscribe here): One of the more intriguing free agents heading into this offseason is first baseman Pete Alonso. The slugger is now free of a qualifying offer and in a position to get the payday he couldn't secure a year ago. The Athletic's Tim Britton broke down Alonso's case in his most recent conversation with Bradfo. To listen to the entire podcast with Tim, talking about his free agent projections, click here. It’s a jam-packed show today! We start with the Broncos sneaking past the Raiders in a 10-7 snoozer, Boomer saying Jaxson Dart is already better than Bo Nix, and Shaun Morash claiming the Giants were this close to firing Brian Daboll. Hour two heats up with Morash vs. podcaster Nikki Gist battling over who broke the Daboll story first, angry callers, Giants kicker questions, and Nikki calling in herself. In hour three, Gio weighs in on who was really ‘shivving’ Daboll, plus Jets and Giants updates, Garrett Wilson ‘shocked’ by trades, Stephen A. Smith doubts Daniel Jones, reactions to the death of Cowboy Marshawn Kneeland, and Joe Davis’ 18-inning World Series confession. Hour four brings NFL weekend matchups, BT & Sal drama at the A-Rod documentary, Sauce Gardner on the Indy trade, Mookie Betts calling the World Series boring, the Moment of the Day with Gio as Shaun Morash, and we wrap up with our NFL picks for the week!
Broncos sneak past the Raiders in a 10-7 snoozer, but Boomer’s already saying Jaxson Dart > Bo Nix. Denver’s the first team to eight wins, but do we trust them in the playoffs? Giants break out their all-white throwbacks in Chicago — Gio is loving it. Jerry’s first update covers the only interesting play in the Broncos game, Sean Payton gets testy with a reporter, and Shaun Morash drops a bomb: the Giants were this close to firing Brian Daboll. Dak Prescott talks about Marshawn Kneeland death, the Devils beat Montreal in OT, and Boomer even made it to Phil Simms’ 70th birthday party.
The Daboll drama continues! Shaun Morash and podcaster Nikki Gist go head-to-head over who broke the story first, while Dan in Carteret goes off on Nikki… and Anthony in Belleville wants a piece of him. Jerry’s back with audio from a caller claiming Morash ripped Nikki’s scoop, and John in Maspeth calls in to back it up. Giants are in Chicago, but who’s kicking? Graham Gano talks death threats after legalized gambling, and Jaxson Dart’s dad responds to Boomer on the Giants’ coaching rumors. And to cap it all off, Nikki Gist calls in herself to weigh in on the feud!
"It’s all going down this hour! Gio weighs in on Shaun Morash and Nikki Gist’s Daboll drama, thinking both were working off the same source — but one caller isn’t happy Gio’s backing his friend. Jerry returns with the sounds from the Broncos’ not-so-exciting win over the Raiders, plus Giants in Chicago and Jets vs. Browns updates. Garrett Wilson says he’s ‘shocked’ by the trades, Stephen A. Smith isn’t buying Daniel Jones, and we hear from players and coaches reacting to the death of Cowboy Marshawn Kneeland. Joe Davis insists he didn’t pee during that 18-inning World Series game, Boomer hopes the Rangers can finally score a home goal, and a caller wonders if the Jets will chase a veteran QB in the offseason.
Gio breaks down the weekend’s top NFL matchups — he’s all in on Patriots at Tampa Bay — plus Jerry’s final update covers BT & Sal drama at the A-Rod documentary, Sean Payton going back and forth with a reporter, Sauce Gardner on the trade to Indy, and Dak Prescott remembering Cowboy Marshawn Kneeland. Mookie Betts calls the 18-inning World Series ‘boring,’ we highlight the Moment of the Day with Gio as Shaun Morash debating who had the Giants story first, and we close out the week with our NFL picks!

Here you go, our official NFL picks for Week 10.
Plenty of NFL action this weekend and we break down some of the matchups you won’t want to miss!
Jerry’s back with his update, kicking things off with the sounds from the Broncos’ not-so-exciting win over the Raiders. The Giants head to Chicago, the Jets take on the Browns, and Garrett Wilson says he’s ‘shocked’ by the trades. Stephen A. Smith isn’t buying Daniel Jones, we hear from players and coaches reacting to the death of Cowboy Marshawn Kneeland, and Joe Davis swears he didn’t pee during that 18-inning World Series game!
Even though Shaun Morash and Nikki Gist have crossed paths before, Gio believes Morash when he says he didn’t see the Daboll tweet. Gio thinks both were working off the same source ‘shivving’ Brian Daboll — but one caller is not happy with Gio for backing his friend!
Nikki Gist calls in to talk about her battle with Morash.
We kept the drama going between Shaun Morash and podcaster Nikki Gist — both claiming they had the Brian Daboll scoop first. Dan in Carteret calls in to rip Nikki for thinking everyone should know who she is, and in the end, both Morash and Nikki say Daboll was all but fired after that Denver loss… until cooler heads stepped in.
Jerry’s here with his first update of the morning — and he starts with the only interesting play from that Broncos win. Sean Payton gets a little testy with a reporter after the game, Shaun Morash says the Giants were this close to firing Brian Daboll, and Dak Prescott opens up about the shocking death of Marshawn Kneeland. Plus, the Devils take down Montreal in overtime!
The Broncos squeak past the Raiders in a snoozer. Boomer’s already crowning Jaxson Dart better than Bo Nix. Denver’s the first team to eight wins, but do we really believe in them come playoff time? And over in Chicago, the Giants are breaking out those sweet all-white throwbacks — and Gio is absolutely here for it.
From '1st & Pod' (subscribe here): Patrick Peterson and Andrew Fillipponi continue their breakdown of the NFL Trade Deadline. Starting with the Sauce Gardner trade, in which some may think the Jets were the winners there. It’s been a packed day! The Knicks rocked the T-Wolves in a win Boomer called one of the most satisfying in years, and yes, Gio’s wife went medium rare plus. Jerry’s updates had it all — Jets trades, Quincy Williams out, Quinnen headed to Dallas, and Jaxson Dart refusing excuses. Aaron Glenn is still keeping the QB under wraps, while JJ McCarthy’s alter-ego makes its intimidating debut. Rick Pitino stopped by to talk St. John’s season, Zach Gelb dissected Urban Meyer’s Penn State link, and Boomer marveled at last night’s supermoon. NFL fans, Boomer’s predicting a Broncos blowout over the Raiders, and the Mets coaching shuffle sent two straight to the Braves. We wrapped with the Sauce Gardner trade reactions, Knicks domination, and the shocking news that 24-year-old Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland has passed away.
We kicked off the hour celebrating a decisive Knicks win over the T-Wolves — Boomer called it one of the most satisfying in years. Jerry had updates on the Jets shakeup — Aaron Glenn reacts, Quincy’s out, and Quinnen’s off to Dallas. Brian Daboll talks Jaxson Dart’s style of play, we heard the sounds of that big Knicks win, and yes — Gio’s wife ordered her steak medium rare plus. We wrapped with talk about the Jets’ mindset after all the losing — can Aaron Glenn get this team to keep fighting?
Aaron Glenn keeps us guessing on the Jets’ QB, though Justin Fields looks like the frontrunner. A caller reminds us it’s Stephen Waldren’s birthday, while NYC’s mayor-elect is asking for more donations. Jerry’s back with updates — Glenn says the Jets are a team fans will be proud of, JJ McCarthy admits to having an alter-ego, and the Knicks rolled over the T-Wolves at MSG. We wrap with a Cleveland host questioning Shedeur Sanders — three injuries, no playing time. What’s going on there?
