Healing from old wounds

My self-esteem is in the gutter. I didn't realize how bad it was. I'm haunted by expectations and perfectionism. My positive self-talk is there, but sometimes the negative voices win. So, I'm beginning a journey to reprogram myself so I'm not always playing the villain. I want to motivate myself not to belittling myself, but build myself up! -AJ Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/borderline-idealist-bpd-anxiety-and-depression/donations

Structure & BPD

Procrastinating seems to be a bpd trait. DBT teaches that structure is a great way for our minds to stay active and for us to feel productive. Like me, you may have started projects with grandiose ideas and very motivated, but then slowly became disheartened and discontinued. Our feelings are connected to our motivation so it's important that we take care of ourselves and develop good habits to pass the time. "I'm still alive" and "I'm still fighting" are the two heroic statements that brought me to tears this episode. Well done, AJ! You give me me so much hope! ❤️

hi yeah I want to comment. I have only recently discovered this and is 100% for sure what I have. it hits the nail on the head of every symptom Bpd entails. . and I go through mania quite often. I found my sister brutally murdered and lost my mother when I was joined at the hip with, to suicide along with some childhood sexual abuse and some abusive adult relationships. so I suffer from depression as well and I have found in my depressive states or when I'm going into a paranoid state assuming my husband bbn is wanting someone else for example because he though a out glancing her way . these are the only times of hallucinations I will ever experience during mania

I can totally relate to that aspect of enjoying interacting with strangers. I prefer getting a smile or a hello from a stranger than having to have a conversation with a friend. Ive just been diagnosed with bpd actually at 47 It's nice to know there are others like me!
