Tonight’s reading comes from Brick and Marble in the Middle Ages. Written by John Murray and published in 1874, this story explores architecture during the middle ages. My name is Teddy and I aim to help people everywhere get a good night’s rest. Sleep is so important and my mission is to help you get the rest you need. The podcast is designed to play in the background while you slowly fall asleep. I would like to thank everyone who has reached out to me during the past week following my recent announcement regarding Spotify’s new sponsored advertisement program which will feature at the beginning of each episode. This has come at a time where juggling the podcast and life commitments was starting to become a little challenging. My goal has always been to keep the podcast free, and I am hoping that this new opportunity will allow me to do that. The podcast currently has no cost, and while an advertisement at the beginning of the episode may not be a concern for some listeners, you do have the option of subscribing to the podcast for $2.99 per month. What this does is ensure you will not hear any ads at the start of the episode. You can try this right now from your podcast app, all you need to do follow the link in the show notes. This is a new journey for me, and I appreciate the support and understanding of all of you. I welcome any feedback, comments or queries and you can find me at the boreyoutsosleep.com website. Of course, if the podcast is beneficial to you, then an amazing way to help out is to share the podcast with a friend and leave a review in your podcast app. In the meantime, lie back, relax and enjoy the readings. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/boreyoutosleep/message
Dear listeners Its hard to believe how quicky time has flown. This month five years ago, I started this podcast to help people get the rest that they need. I’ve often struggled with sleep in my life, and felt that I could help other people with theirs. Thank you to everyone who listens to and supports this podcast. As you may know, my intention is to keep this podcast free, so that it is accessible to all of those who need it. Having said that, behind the scenes it has been challenging to juggle the podcast and my life commitments. The support from the community and my focus on your wellbeing is why I felt it important to share this announcement to you.  I’m honoured to have recently been selected by Spotify to be sponsored by their advertisement program. What this does is allow me to monetize the podcast by making a minor adjustment to the introduction of each episode.  Whilst this not may be a concern for some listeners, I felt the need to let you know of this change.  It is a small adjustment and it is going to allow me to continue bringing out more episodes for those who need them. Going forward, you will hear a paid advertisement at the beginning of each episode, which will not play again during the episode, ensuring that you continue to receive an uninterrupted sleepy experience. I realise this may not be a concern to some people, but for those who want to have an ad-free experience, there will be the offer to subscribe to the podcast for a monthly fee. For those who would like this option, I’ve made it as accessible as possible at a small fee of $2.99 per month. While this is completely optional, I wanted to give everyone a choice of either option. Now this is new territory for me, and I will be trialling this new Spotify offer to see how it works. The main message I wanted to share is, that I will continue to bring out episodes now that I am able to receive a small amount of funding via Spotify advertising. As always, I welcome your feedback and please ask you to contact me via the boreyoutosleep.com website if would like to share your thoughts. Thank you for working through this change with me, and I look forward to bringing you more restful nights. Sincerely, Teddy --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/boreyoutosleep/message

Fantastic podcast to bore you to sleep, I've been listening for a couple of years and out of a bunch of sleep podcasts I have tried Teddy's is one of my favourite. I often find the content quite interesting but I could never stay awake long enough to take it all in. Just a note of thanks. Listening to these sleep stories has become a standard part of my nighttime routine. I enable the "do not disturb" setting on my phone and turn on an episode, and listen as I get ready for bed. It helps me let go of the day and settle down even before I try to sleep. I am about to lie down with a clear mind and doze off easily. I'm so grateful to you for recording these.
