There have been so many damn tech layoffs in 2022. Where is all the VC money going? Has the well dried up?

Apple is making it mandatory for its employees to RTO 3 days per week starting on May 23rd. Many people are upset about this as they claim Apple tells its customers how their products can help anyone work from anywhere, yet they won't allow their own workers to do so. I say it's because they invested billions of dollars in their campus and don't want it to go to waste.

I just realized that I've been using social media for almost 1/3 of my life. That's almost two decades! For 20 years, I've been on this soul-sucking shit wagon of a product. What a waste of time if I'm being honest. How long have you been on social media? Also, there's a chance that MySpace will be purchased in the near future. My bet is that it will be repositioned as a Web3 and/or NFT platform!
Elon Musk owns a majority stake in Twitter. He's definitely doing this to grow the VERY active Web3 & NFT presence on the platform. My prediction is that he is going to challenge another big player to see who can be the first social media platform to allow its users to mint NFTs and monetize them! Thoughts?

Uber is partnering with Yellow Taxi to put their fleet of vehicles on their platform. The once competitor is now a partner! Over the last 10-12 years the price of a Yellow Taxi medallion in NYC went from upwards of $1.2M all the way down to $80,000. With this new partnership, I predict the price of the medallions to skyrocket over the next 2-5 years!

So you probably clicked on this because you saw the headline. YES, it is true. I spent 0.75ETH (~$185) + gas fees to purchase a NFT that shipped me a bag of coffee. The craziest part is that I don't even plan to drink the damn coffee! So I have no idea if it's any good. BUT, that's not the point of the NFT project Bored Breakfast Club. It is by no means affiliated with Bored Ape Yacht Club but it could very well pop off just like BAYC did. As of right now, my NFT investment has almost doubled in price. So I can't complain.

I have an announcement to make about ending the show. I've had many other exciting things come up that require my attention and I feel like I've had a hard time talking about things during these episodes. Let's see how these next few weeks to months go before I make a final call.
Meta is tanking! The Meta stock dropped nearly 20% after reporting disappointing earnings and that its number of active users stalled. I think this is due to the fact that many of Facebook's users are an older generation. Hammering them with this new name change and new technology that they have no idea WTF it is, probably startled them and is causing them to proceed with caution. YIKES!
Woohoo! The future of tech is going to be something out of this world!
What do you know about web 3.0 and NFTs? Nike seems to know something. Is this a thing we should all get into before its too late or will all the big dogs just take up the real estate and make it so us as individuals cannot do anything with it?
