We regret to inform you that, after a 12 year battle with mediocrity and irrelevance, the Virginia Tech football program was pronounced dead on September 6th 2025 at 10:57PM in Blacksburg, VA. The program is survived by living legend Frank Beamer, Bud Foster, and a myriad of football alumni that helped build a rough around the edges but beloved team into a perennial ten win program and Championship contender. Wake will be held September 9th 2025 at 9PM. Bring booze and, if you wish to eulogize this once great program, a mic and camera. See you there!
We now turn our attention to Vanderbilt with the specter of last year's opener still blazed in our memory banks. Will the Hokies get right against their second SEC opponent of the early 2025 season or will Diego Pavia and Company work some magic in Blacksburg?
This week we recap what was both a hopeful and frustrating outing for the Hokies down in Atlanta. Virginia Tech matched South Carolina blow for blow for four quarters but a couple big plays and consistent execution errors by the Hokies led to a 24-11 loss. We Tell the Truth about a game where the Hokies never looked outclassed yet still came out on the wrong side of a two score loss.
It was our pleasure to sit down with the great writer and educator Roland Lazenby. This 90 minute interview focuses primarily on his most recent piece in the Roanoker Magazine highlighting his time spent around Coach Brent Pry and the Hokies over the course of this Spring and Summer through the prism of NIL and the modern college football landscape. We dive into more big picture questions for the Hokies beyond the 2025 season: Can we keep up in the NIL era? Is this sustainable for college football at large? Is Pry the right man for the task? Be sure to checkout the piece, Love in the Time of NIL, by subscribing or grabbing the latest issue of the Roanoker Magazine. If you want more Roanoker Magazine content you can visit:Roanoker Magazine Virginia Tech landing page: https://theroanoker.com/VTRoland Lazenby's Exclusive sit-down with Coach Pry: https://theroanoker.com/VT/Coach-Pry-Exclusive/Get a copy of the issue: https://leisuremedia360.lpages.co/get-our-special-vt-issue/Roanoker Magazine YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@roanokermagazine
The Hokies are set to start their 2025 campaign in Atlanta in the Aflac Kickoff Game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Storylines abound but the most intriguing is Shane Beamer facing off against his alma mater and the school where his dad became a legend. We look at this revamped USC team to see how the Hokies can pull off the upset. We also announce the Countdown to Kickoff Giveaway winner and give our Big Screener Picks of the Week.
We're back for the fourth annual Hokies Preview Panel featuring some of the best names in Hokies independent Media. This year we've got Pete Bertheaud, Dan Pultz, and Grayson Wimbish ready to preview what is a pivotal season both for Brent Pry and the future relevancy of Virginia Tech athletics.
We're back for the fourth annual Hokies Preview Panel featuring some of the best names in Hokies independent Media. This year for segment 1 we've got Danny Nokes, Mike McDaniel and David Cunningham ready to preview what is a pivotal season both for Brent Pry and the future relevancy of Virginia Tech athletics.
We're back and this time we brought with us VHSL all-time leading receiver Keylen "Brodie" Adams. We walk through Keylen's first year on campus, adjusting to college life, persevering through a difficult injury, and how he's fairing so far through fall camp. He also gives us a peek into how he fuels up for practice and why the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel is the ultimate bane of his existence.
The first episode in a Boundary Corner double dip week features Hokie legend and Vicktory Life founder Dwight Vick along with friend of the show and everyone's favorite Hokie Pops Chris Lester. We're looking big picture at what the Hokies did this offseason to get better top to bottom and what still needs to happen for all of these pieces to come together into a winning season in 2025.

This week the boys are back and joined by Hokies outside linebacker James Djonkam. James arrived in Blacksburg via the Winter Transfer Portal window after a breakout season at Eastern Michigan where he led the team in tackles in 2024. Before that he was a part of the Arizona State defensive front rotation and a standout on special teams.
The Hokies have recovered a bit in the recruiting rankings for the 2026 class after rough Spring of major de-commitments. We invite BCP favorite and VTScoop writer Matej Sis to help us talk through some the specific circumstances that led to this slow start. We also discuss some of the key commitments so far in this class and what we can look forward to in the coming months as this class continues to fill out.
The crew is back with part two of the Hokies Dream team. This time your boys are focused on the unit that put Hokies football on the map: DEFENSE. Special guest Coach Robbie Compton joins us to help layout the best of the best when it comes to Hokies defensive players.
This week BCP is bringing you their first ever Dream Team. In part 1 we are focusing on offense. We're picking one quarterback, two tight ends, seven offensive linemen, five wide receivers, and three running backs to represent the best Virginia Tech offense imaginable. You think we're wrong? Let us know in the comments.
The Hokies have been extremely active in the portal, both in the Winter window and most recently in the Spring window. Our guest Kolby Crawford makes his Boundary Corner Podcast debut as he helps us breakdown the impact of the portal on this Hokies roster and who amongst the recent adds will have the biggest impact for the Hokies this fall.
The Hokies Spring Game was a cold and poorly attended exhibition. Now that we've had some time to digest what we saw live and in a tape delayed fashion let's talk about it. We break down what we learned on the scheme and position battle front and what sort of help this roster still needs before fall camp. We also touch on the Nico Iamaleava situation and talk about a plethora of Hokies that are looking to hear their name called at the NFL Draft.
Spring is in the air and a large contingent of Hokie faithful are set to make the trek to Blacksburg for the annual Orange and Maroon Spring Game. This iteration brings a little more intrigue than previous years as we get our first real look at what the Hokies will look like on both sides of the ball under new coordinators Philip Montgomery and Sam Siefkes. We invite our good buddy Coach Robbie Compton, fresh off his trip to Blacksburg for the Hokies High School Coaches Chalk Talk, to give us his assessment of how these new schemes might fit our personnel.
This week we're taking a dive into where the chips fell with the shuffling of the offensive and defensive staff this off season. We also examine the roster updates for 2025, some of our early takeaways from Spring practice, and put a bow on winter sports.
This week we welcome The Key Play writer and analyst Jonathan French. We look at his initial thoughts and feelings around the Sam Siefkes hire and how he's feeling now after doing a month-long dive into the tape. We also look at where the potential pitfalls may be with a defensive scheme shift at this stage of the Brent Pry era.
The Hokies took much less time turning around their offensive coordinator hire, securing former Auburn Offensive Coordinator and Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery to take over the reins from the departing Tyler Bowen. We diagnose which boxes this hire checks and what we can expect from a Montgomery led offense as Spring practice looms around the corner.
