Next shiny thing syndrome: People jumping from reels to TikTok to something else because the marketing gurus said so. Sheer overwhelm by things that are NOT required Because I fell for all of these in my business. And burnt myself out. When I ask people why they don’t have the business they want these are some of the things I hear again and again My elevator pitch is not perfectI don’t know FB adsMy audience just doesn’t buyI don’t have enough people in my audienceI haven’t done it before I did it but I don’t know how to repeat thisI need to put in more (Hours, energy, experience) When you have these thoughts this is how it shows up as working harder, doing more and firehosing yourself with learning. The real problem is a lack of enoughness. So you do everything you can to prove to the world that you are enough. But what it actually does is it makes success feel out of reach because when you give control of your enoughness to others, you will never feel enough. And even if you get some success you’ll attribute it to things or people basically outside of you, so you never feel like you can recreate it with ease or your brain will move the goal post further along and it feeds your non-enoughness even more.
