Episode 01 - The Journey Begins

Corey Phillpott & myself (Nick Betar) have started a podcast series called ‘Breaking 17’ to document his journey to break the world record for the Worlds Strongest Marathon which is currently 17 hours & 23 minutes and held by Justin true. He will be raising money for ChildSafe Australia to help educate & spread awareness around child abuse which is something close to Corey as someone close to him has gone through it. Did you know? In Australia, one child is physically, emotionally or sexually abused every 16 minutes. That means 32,000 children are abused every year, usually by adults they have been taught to trust. Scary facts.... So throughout this series we will be chatting about Corey’s training, the planning that goes into it and getting guests on that will be helping Corey achieve this record, guests like Neil Milton The CEO of ChildSafe which is the organisation Corey is raising money for and guests who have done incredible challenges like this to come on and share their stories & mindset behind it all. I hope you all can get behind Corey & enjoy this Podcast Series. If you want to donate towards this great cause I will put the link below. DONATE NOW, EVERY CENT COUNTS! http://bit.ly/ChildSafeAus
