The International Literature Showcase is a project to present the best of British literature to the world. The first of this year's showcases saw Elif Shafak selecting 10 brilliant women writers. In this podcast Georgina Godwin speaks to Elif and they discuss the importance of championing British literature and what it's like to be referred to as a 'female writer'. This relatively modern song featuring five birds in Hindi, is particularly effective as an action song.It is used by many primary school teachers in the Hindi speaking belt in Northern India, to teach simple mathematical concepts like reverse counting and subtraction in a fun and interesting manner.
