Description

In a country obsessed with gossip, the great and the good fear one thing more than any other - scandal.

British scandals change the course of history. They bring down governments, overthrow the rich and cause the mighty to fall. Some are about sex, others about money. In the end, they’re all about power.

But often at the heart of a scandal, there are ordinary human stories, stories of those caught up in the swirl of outrage.

Who was really to blame for what happened? Why did they do it? And when all is said and done, did anything really change?

From the creators of Business Wars, American Scandal and Even The Rich, comes British Scandal. We tell the stories of the murkier side of the British elite, from Phone Hacking to Saville to Profumo who show us the reality of power, the price of pride and the failings of the great and good. Because sometimes the truth doesn’t set everyone free…

This is a podcast about a man dying from poisoning and they constantly keep making jokes, it's offensive and off-putting. The bits where Alice just reads and re-enacts the events are good but the rest have to go.

a good podcast ruined by Matt Ford. Well written and tells story that is enlightening and devious. shame that clown Ford mocked the people involved and made light of an episode that affected lives and families. Get rid of him. the lady who read the pod is great and brought feeling to the story, get her away from the clown and she will prosper.

Take a leaf from American Scandal. One presenter, no attempts at humour. This is supposed to be serious, but it's more "Carry on Spy". If I want a double act I'll turn on ITV and suffer Ant and Dec. Please fix this, the subject matter is really good and I want to remain a subscriber.

absolutely awful banter. treating a serious attempted murder like a Tory/Eton sleaze festival. shockingly bad podcast.

ok, I really dont like saying this. looks like the yanks have actually done somthing way better than the poms. it's like watching a doco and having two sexually frustrated kids talking absolute shit and hitting pause every 5 mins, then adds. I'm not sure if you two are aspiring comedians and if so, all the power to you. but is this a comedy? get a room together, sort it out, then do the podcast. or maybe listen to American scandal and see how it's done. sorry for the brutal post, but this was shit and I couldn't even get to the end.

Awful. Thought I'd give it another go but didn't get past the pathetic opening banter between the hosts. Tuned out.
