Brokers & Beyond

My name is Chad A. Boblett I live in Lexington, Kentucky. I am the owner of a small trucking company Boblett Brothers LLC. I am a certified trained master broker in the movement of freight where I use this skill to provide a dispatch service and logistics management coaching to a small group of carriers. I am the founder and admin of the Facebook group Rate per mile masters that is all about educating others in rates and the business of moving freight. My newest adventure has been to provide an audio program in exploring creative negotiation techniques when working with freight brokers that I have named Brokers and Beyond. My passion for the trucking industry started at age 9 circling trucks in the truck paper that my father should consider buying. After graduating high school and still too young to start driving over the road I decided to go into heavy motor vehicle operations in the Marines. After ten years of active duty and finishing up the operation Phantom Fury in the Iraq war I decided to make a career change and was honorably discharged. My first job after getting out of the Marines was a flatbed company TMC where I later trained others in load securement. After my first year of driving McLane offered a better position and more home time. The work was more intensive that lead to two major surgeries and being off work for over year depleted my saving that left me broke. Being at the lowest point in my life with only good credit to my name I put a new plan together that change my life forever. I decide to become an owner operator and I was scared with nothing to lose. I bought my first truck for $35,000 using 4 credit cards and paid it off in less than two year. Today I have the greatest job ever that feels more and more like a hobby.
