This episode is very different from my usual content on the podcast. I feel a little uncomfortable sharing my credit/money story, but I also realize I’m not the only one out there with this struggle. What does this episode have to do with vegan life? Everything! If your money ain’t right, you’re probably not eating right too. Money affects other areas of our lives…especially how we eat and take care of ourselves. I’m starting this MONEY series because I always see people in their 20s and early 30s talking about how much money they’ve saved and how many student loans they paid off. I rarely see content from people like me…starting “late” and still want to build wealth. Get the show notes for this episode here New to vegan life? In this episode of the Brown Vegan podcast, I interview Britany King about her journey towards becoming plant-based and how it relates to her work as a licensed therapist. After being diagnosed with PCOS in 2015 (and not satisfied with the treatment plan her doctor provided), she explored alternative methods, including a plant-based diet.We chat about how PCOS affects women of color disproportionately. Britany also highlights many Black women may not even realize they have PCOS due to a lack of education and awareness about the symptoms. Women are often taught that irregular periods are normal and may not realize that other symptoms such as hair loss, excess hair growth, and changes in blood sugar levels could be linked to PCOS.Follow Britany on InstagramHer websiteBlog post for this episodeSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/brown-vegan/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
