No one knows your kids like you do, right? And I bet when asked about them, you gush & smile and scramble for pics on your phone to share & show them off. That's what promoting your brand should be like! Well, sorta. What I mean is this: you should be living your brand with excitement & passion everywhere your brand shows up. Your expertise & confidence should be felt in your visuals and content, and your enthusiasm for what you offer should be contagious! I used to tell my clients prior to going on air to "be theatrical", because the bottom-line is this: no one will ever be more passionate about your brand or business than YOU! So get out there and promote your brand like you would your first grandchild, new puppy or fancy new car!!! There is an audience out there waiting for you to share what you know. Now is not the time to be shy! Be fearless and find your tribe!!! Best wishes to you on your Brand Building Journey!
Customer Experience is paramount to the success of your business or personal brand. What are you doing to stand out? How are you making your customers feel special? Join me as I share a fun story about my run-in with legendary comedian, Joan Rivers, and how a passing comment between us became a life lesson.
Starting to find my groove! In this episode I share a story that was a pivotal moment for me as a QVC Host, and I'm reminded of it today after recording my "stiff & know-it-all-esque" episode 1 yesterday. The experience I had years ago with The Cat Sweater helps me articulate what I mean by speaking from the narrative of the customer to make a connection. I had to put my ego aside and look at the sweater through the consumer lens and appreciate the quality craftsmanship & detail and the overall cheeriness the sweater would bring to tons of people. Once I started to mentally approach it from this perspective, it felt great to go on air and speak genuinely about the whimsy & fun of Quacker Factory clothes. I adore my friend & mentor, Jeanne Bice, and I miss her dearly. Thank you for listening and I hope you have a beautiful day!
It's true that we are all consumers. And we choose certain brands over others based on different criteria. Think about the brands you use daily and ask yourself why you choose them. What motivates you to select one brand over the other? What comes to mind when you think of that brand? These and other thought-provoking questions are designed to give you a better understanding of the customer experience and how you can stand out when it comes to your own business. By "thinking like the customer you are" you have an edge over the competition and you're more likely to create brand love & loyalty for your business.
