Join us for a weekly excursion into one of C.S. Lewis’s most interesting and accessible books, The Screwtape Letters, led by the Rev. Brian McGreevy. A fictional correspondence between a senior devil and a junior devil about how to tempt Christians away from their faith, this book also serves as an engaging and challenging primer on what it means to follow Jesus in a hostile culture.
As the story begins, we meet Shift the Ape and Puzzle the Donkey. In this episode we explore apes and donkeys in Scripture and literature and unpack a bit of what Lewis is doing with these characters.
Good morning Rev. McGreevy. I stumbled upon your podcast as I was looking for C.S. Lewis books. I wanted to share with you what a jem it has been to listen to your teaching. It has been very interesting the timing with all that is going around. I started listening to the podcast in March and I am caught up. I have shared with postcast with many family members and friends. I wanted to find out if you will be doing another study and if so what book are you looking to do. I would like to join it if possible. Many blessing to you and your congregation.
