This summer we are curating your Cancelled podcast playlist, bringing you the insanely popular and always funny - Brutally Honest Reviews from our friends on The Spill. This week, we’re diving pom-poms first into Season 2 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and let’s just say, it’s not all rhinestones and high kicks. In our brutally honest review, we break down the fights these women took on behind the scenes, from their long-overdue push for better pay, to the toll of representing one of the most iconic (and controlling) sports brands in the world.Yes, there’s been progress, but we’re also talking about the areas where the system still gets it wrong, especially when it comes to diversity, body image, and the pressure to be "perfect." We unpack the surprising twists, the darker moments you might not expect, and the very real power dynamics at play, on and off the field.Plus, Ksenija shares her insider scoop from the modelling world, drawing some striking (and frankly disturbing) parallels between runway life and the DCC machine: the unattainable beauty standards, the constant critiques, and the pressure to smile through it all.LISTEN:Want more Brutally Honestly Reviews? This is a risk assessment we did on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's relationship days before they broke up.For J-Lo and Ben, entering the Cancelled courtroom together is just another collaboration to add to their long list of projects, so why not one more? Before "Bennifer" even existed, they starred in a (very wrong) movie called Gigli. Zendaya might just be the best thing to come out of Disney (for those who grew up watching Nickelodeon that’s a big deal). She seems to do no wrong. BUT there's the rumoured drama surrounding Euphoria, where Zendaya plays a teen struggling with addiction. Why is season three taking so long? Then, there's those times Zendaya danced like no one was watching in malls, or the so-called "controversy" about the height difference with her boyfriend and Spiderman co-star Tom Holland (it's just an inch). Oh, and one of us actually met Zendaya and Zac Efron once... but was too busy having a full-blown Zac Efron meltdown to properly process it. You know, the usual. Plus, more of your Lazy Gewl stories! late 40s here and yes I can confidently say yes I can do the mj dance.
You girls are hilarious!
One of my fave Cancelled episodes. I snort laughed as I walked the dog, she kept turning back with a concerned look on her face. I look forward to each episode and a dose of laughter.
Love your show! Can you cancel the Dalai Lama? Creepy as!
This is great. She did not birth this child; she hasn't birthed any children since Carmen. That is another part of her grift - pretending to have all these kids back to back and then pretending that 3 days later her body is perfecto. Nope. She is a liar through and through.
You two are always such fun, but this episode is particularly hilarious
Hey hey! Chris Evans is hot af.
Do Winona next! She has truly come back as Joyce Myers and reminded us all once again why we lover her. I have always thought she was just a misunderstood child/teen star that just needed a break when Hollywood dropped her. Now she's back but as the cool older sibling guiding all the Stranger Things kids through new found fame. Do Winona! Winona forever.
Hi Beautiful Girls, I love your work. I started listening to Podcasts to help me relax and go to sleep but you two make me laugh so much that I have taken to listening to you when I'm on my Treadmill. I named my Treadmill Archie, because I bought it the day that that other Archie was born. Now people want to know what I call my toaster. Lol. Anyway I look forward to watching your careers grow because you are unique and we need real people in this world. Thank you for telling it like it is and giving me the best out loud belly laughs. Stay true to yourselves. Brenda Thompson Beecher Forest. C.Q.
Grimes has more creativity, substance and integrity in her little finger than most of these rando’s, who only know of her existence since she had kids with Elon, have in their entire being.
Jessie was right the first time - it's not pronounced 'homo-gene-is'!
Cows are beautiful. 2021 has been hideous and definitely should be cancelled.
I’ve never understood how this movie is even marginally popular. It’s an abomination.
alot of the stuff that Tyra put those girls through was not funny
loved 'they take too much blood' - you know it's less than a teaspoon per standard tube, right? It's 4.5ml. I mean, you've got 4.5 to 5.5 litres in your body; and normal menstrual loss is about 60ml, so.... but love your work, Jessie and Clare! 🥰
you two are so funny keep it up
