May is Mental Health Awareness Month!! So, in this episode, Joe is joined by Major Melissa Barosela, from the Miami-Dade Police Department Mental Health & Wellness Bureau. They talk about the recent increase in mental health issues and what resources families have to get a person in crisis help. They also discuss what new tactics MDPD has to deal with a mental crisis call and what new efforts do they have to help their own officers with mental health concerns.
