Week 13 has the opportunity to create college football playoff madness if upsets occur. Harvard and Yale celebrate their 150th rivalry matchup dubbed “the Game.” We could see the possibility of an academy program reaching the postseason. The Playoff committee seems to care more about the losses than the wins on a resume.
Some teams have found their playoff potential and others must fight to stay in the hunt. The Heisman race has shrunk significantly after some Week 12 performances. This may be the most chaotic playoff race with the amount of two loss teams. Can the ACC produce a competitive playoff team?
The playoff is beginning to be all the craze and there are numerous playoff elimination games featured this weekend. Conference races are still alive with slim margins for failure. Could we see two group of 5 playoff teams?
College football is a sport of attrition and 5 top 25 teams fall victim to the sport. The ACC is in complete chaos and will be the weakest link for the playoffs. Other teams are able to survive off of walk off scores to keep playoff hopes alive. This season and this sport has yet to disappoint.
A weaker slate for week 11 just means the three ranked matchups this weekend will have all eyes on them. BYU and Texas Tech are in a Big 12 showdown, Texas A&M can break the 8-4 curse with a win over Missouri, and Iowa is testing the strength of Oregon. Will another coach get fired on Sunday?
The top 10 thins the herd as #10 Miami, #9 Vanderbilt & #8 Georgia Tech lose close games. How long can Dabo Swinney and Hugh Freeze keep their jobs? The Big 12 and ACC are fighting against each other to have two conference representatives for the playoffs. The amount of 2 loss teams could create a huge playoff debate come selection day.
Week 10 hits us with more playoff elimination games that also affect the conference standings. November is the final push for playoff hopes or disastrous disappointments for programs. The Heisman race is nowhere close to being over as multiple players rise the ranks. One thing's for sure, the final month of the regular season will be under review.
Week 9 saw pitfalls and preposterous comebacks if you were a team in the top 25. The Group of 5 race continues to be one of the more exciting aspects of the season. “Fire Kelly” chants erupt after losing a night game in Death Valley and his record against top 25 teams falls to 5-11 at LSU.
The biggest question that may be answered this week is, can you finish the season or let the playoff slip through your fingers. Multiple matchups in week 9 determine playoff chances and conference races. The SEC has saved the weekend with key matchups taking up the weekend with 3 ranked games.
The top 10 continues to be a revolving door as more teams get upset. Vanderbilt is now a football school with a big win in their schedule. Notre Dame just might be back in the playoff conversation. Week 8 delivered some all around great matchups that didn’t disappoint
The SEC dominates the ranked matchups for week 8. Georgia is looking for revenge against Ole Miss, Alabama must defend T-Town & could LSU fall to Vandy? Indiana gains a season defining win against Oregon. Georgia beats Auburn with the help of the SEC officials. DeBoer is 12-2 wearing a black hoodie after a win at Missouri. The sky is falling in and the buyout money is rising in happy valley. This could be the most parody we have seen in the sport in a while. One thing is for sure, and it’s that no fan base is safe from the clutches of defeat this season.
Week 7 brings us back to the weekends full of top 25 matchups, SEC rivalry games, and the Wild West of the Big 12 is here. Indiana and Oregon will show us who is the best challenger for #1 Ohio state. Auburn and Texas are both needing a rivalry win to revive hope within their fan bases.
Just when you think the weekend will be smooth and calm, college football brought it on. Week 6 saw some rise to better records and resumes while others fell to unranked opponents. This season is not even halfway through and is shaping up to be one of the wildest seasons of college football… and we couldn’t be happier.
Week 6 may not feature the heavy hitters from last week but it’s still College Football nonetheless. Alabama must defend T-Town from Vandy after last year’s loss. FSU and Miami battle for supremacy for the sunshine state. Either Texas Tech or Houston walk away with a loss this weekend. Doesn’t matter who plays, we're always keeping college football under review.
College football never disappoints and this weekend cultivated epic moments to go along with that statement. #17 Alabama and #6 Oregon get major road wins in hostile environments. Friday night lights are too bright for #8 FSU and #24 TCU getting conference losses. They got a name for the winners in the world and they call Alabama the Crimson Tide, RTR.
Week 5 is setting itself up to be legendary for this season and has major implications for the playoffs.
