Description

CHAMPIONCHIP is a weekly potato chip review podcast founded by a 9-year-old boy named Brodie. With his Dad and Mama Barrett by his side, Brodie reviews chips from all over the world. Special guests and part-time co-hosts make the show exciting and unpredictable. The chips are curated by the show's Program Director, Mama Barrett. Chip donations and suggestions are always welcome from friends, family, and fans of the show. The chips are always a surprise to the co-hosts and they've enjoyed over 100 different flavors. You can count on the co-hosts to discuss a wide range of topics from sports and entertainment to Richmond, VA local happenings and school events. The chips brought them here, but there's much more to talk about. Share this show with everyone you know. Thanks!

Thanks for the bag, Zach! As usual, our conversation went a lot of non-chip-related places. We rounded out the last 5 minutes with some discussion of these kettle cooked classics. Not the most memorable S&V we've had, but not the worst either. We enjoyed our time in the studio after a long day and we're happy that we always have this show to look forward to. Thanks for listening, Chip Champions!
Wowzers! We're back with an AMAZING chip (no matter what Mama Barrett has to say about it). It's not flavorless...it's very good. Something has gone horribly wrong with Mama Barrett's taste buds and we're truly concerned for her well-being. Do NOT let her intro discourage you from picking these up at your local grocery. Thank you all for listening! Eat a bag of chips!
Despite us calling this season 2 episode 3 no less than 5 times during this episode, it's season 2 episode 4! These Trader Joe's pizza-flavored chips were amazing, contrary to the opinion of Mama Barrett! Brodie described his trip to DC with Zach and we enjoyed the chips at the end. Thank you for listening! Eat a bag of chips!
Happy Easter! We hope you all had some fun times with friends and family this past weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed Herr's Ranch Habanero chips along with a few chocolate bunnies. While writing this, I''m remembering that we may not have actually given these chips a 0-10 rating during the episode. But after a brief conference with Brodie, we've decided these are a solid 7.5. Thank you for listening! Eat a bag of chips!
We're cruising along here in Season 2 with another bag of Keogh's thanks to Jenn Jenn. They tasted more like barbeque and beer than Irish whiskey, but Brodie seemed to be a fan. We talked about Brodie's new found love for the drums and we'll have to share some of what he has learned soon! Have a great week, Chip Champions!
We're back, baby! It's been nearly 3 months since we posted an episode. Thanks for hanging in there for us! After Christmas, Brodie celebrated his 11th birthday and life has been chock full of soccer, theater, school projects, family events, drum lessons, and more. We're reinvigorated with our SECOND SEASON of the show. We've simplified things to keep it fun, light, and exciting and we hope you enjoy it! In this episode, we tried some AMAZING sweet creole onion chips donated by one of Championchip's biggest fans. Thank you, Gigi! We're so happy to be back and we're looking forward to next week's chip! Thanks for listening. Eat a bag of chips!
Merry Christmas, Chip Champions! We're back for big episode #80 and we have a bunch of guests! We had family and friends over for our Christmas Eve brunch and the mics were on! We're happy that we were able to finally drop another episode!Listen to the end of this podcast for a special announcement. We love you, Chip Champions! We'll be back better than ever next year!
We're back! Special thanks to Holly & Lisa for sponsoring this chipisode. We've enjoyed our Clancy's series over the last 3 weeks. Hope everyone is having a great start to December and enjoying the end of the year! Tune in for big episode #80 coming soon! Eat a bag of chips!
Happy Thanksgiving! We're doubling up with episodes this week! These aren't the first stuffing flavored chips we've had. Go check out Episode #34: Trader Joe's Thanksgiving Stuffing w/ Special Guest Kaleb because it is one of the best episodes we've done! But this chip was indeed a good one, too. Shout out once again to Lisa for the bag donation! We will be back next week, Chip Champions! Enjoy the holiday and have a great week!
We're happy to be back after a little hiatus. Shout out to Holly's mom, Lisa, for these chips and the chips we will enjoy in our next episode! HAPPY TURKEY DAY to all you Chip Champions! Have a great week!!
Thank you to The Reids for this bag of french Lay's! Saveur Poulet Roti translates in English to Roast Chicken Flavor. These reminded us of the Chicken & Thyme flavored chips we had from England (thanks to Phoebe Reid). One of us thought they smelled like a chicken salad sandwich! HAPPY HALLOWEEN, CHIP CHAMPIONS! We love you! Be safe! Eat a bag of chips!
Another week, another chip! Shout out to Terri for the bag! This episode was all over the place. Not a lot of chip talk, but we had fun! These were mildly spicy but full of flavor. We can't beleive we have reached episode 75. Thank you all for the support!
Expired bag strikes again! Only a couple of weeks expired, so we still enjoyed these hot honey chips from Utz. More than the chips, we loved having our OG Guest Host, Owen, back in the studio. We watch an old World of Warcraft meltdown/freakout video and have a nice laugh. We're already looking forward to having Owen back! Thank you for listening, Chip Champions! We love you!
Back by popular demand! We have enjoyed, but not been blown away by, the other Lay's collabs (check out episode #36: Lay's Cheeto Flavor Chips) that we've tried. This one is no different. If you like Funyuns and you like plain Lay's potato chips, then you'll definitely like these. If you really like Funyuns, but don't like Lay's, then you should just get a bag of Funyuns. Stay tuned until the end when we read Google Reviews for the worst bag Doritos ever made! Next week we're featuring a repeat Guest Host, the Original Guest Host in fact, and we're sure you can figure out who that is.Thanks for listening, Chip Champions! We love you!
We're back for a fun one! Thank you to Zach and Jenn, aka Zenn for the big box of chips. Brodie picked these out of a variety box and we were very pleased! High score alert! Thanks for listening, Chip Champions!
We're back with another ABC (Alex, Brodie, Caliegh) episode to celebrate big #70! We talk sports, house renovation, gym TV, and we tried 3 very unique chips. We will be back in action next week! Thank you for listening!
We're happy to be back in studio for these fantastic chips from Trader Joe's! We were suprised at how much we enjoyed them. Shout out to Mama Barrett for this lattice cut ghost pepper chip from Trader Joe's! They weren't as hot as one would expect after handling the black bag with flames and peppers all over it, but they were delightfully spicy with an amazing smoky flavor. Thank you for listening, Chip Champions! Tune into Episode 70 (ABC Episode) next week!
We tried the worst Dorito of them all with Uncle Moses! Fortunately, we had a backup snack (not a chip) in Brodie's Herr's Ghost Pepper Cheese Curls. We had a great time pressing buttons on the soundboard and talking trash with Moses. The little ones make an appearance at the end. If you started school this week, we hope you've eased back into your routine and will tune in next week! Thank you for listening! We love you, Chip Champions!
We went on a walk in our neighborhood and picked up some PRIME from CVS. We grabbed (and tried not to look at) a bag of Korean Tako chips from the chip closet to enjoy on this walk. Take chips are seafood-flavored and also happen to be shaped like an octopus! This chip is made with yellow Corvina fish and flour. However, we did not know this at all when eating these chips. We compared the flavor to Top Ramen seasoning. Hope you all enjoy the show! Thanks for listening. Tune in next week!
Brodie's Aunt Mia returns to the studio 1 year after her last appearance (go listen to episode #18). The chips weren't exactly the focus of this episode because we wanted to know all about Mia's recent Post Malone concert and her plans to see Lil Uzi Vert in the fall. Mia happened to love these chips and didn't leave much for Mama Barrett at the end. We stayed up late catching up with Mia and we're hoping to get her back in here very soon! Thank you for listening! Spread the word about Championchip, please! We love you bye!
