The first road trip of the year.
This week's episode of the new CLUBELEVEN podcast spans spans quite literally the entire country.
Hear what it was like at Boston Legacy's first ever match in club existence, why Pablo was sticking his toes into a hand dryer up in Burlington during Vermont Green's upset of Portland Hearts of Pine in the Open Cup, and how we barely made it to Los Angeles to join up with the Adidas Fútbol Society the very next day. All of that and more, coming at you live from our incredibly humid hotel room.

A stolen laptop, a book of arrests, and a DIY investigation. Oh my!
Round 4 of the U.S. Open Cup was anything but straightforward. We returned back to Orlando with nothing but uncertainty ahead. Just as momentum was building, it felt as if the lifespan of the bus was shortening with each passing day.
Some how, some way though, the bus wouldn't be our biggest worry this round. In what can only be described as a Scorsese-esque escapade, we soon were dusting car doors for fingerprints, tracking stolen goods, and praying for a miracle.
Releasing weekly, The Soccer Odyssey Podcast is an 8-ish episode series documenting the highs and lows of driving our 1998 bus turned soccer museum 12,000 miles across the country.

We'll do it live!
Welcome to the first edition of the new CLUBELEVEN podcast where Gabe, Justin, Pablo, and Tyler, chat about all the misadventures and side quests that come from documenting the American soccer landscape.
In this week's update, Pablo and Gabe talk about guest lecturing a Soccer Politics class at the University of Virginia, Pablo shares jello shots with Manchester City fans in DC, Justin begins but renovations after watching Messi rip apart his childhood club, and Tyler helps launch Boston Legacy's secondary kit amidst another New England snowstorm. Plus, hear how Pablo, somehow, nearly came face to face with a living and breathing bald eagle.

Just as quickly as it began, this bus adventure may be crashing to an end.
For Round 3 of the U.S. Open Cup, we set our sights on another two-city stop: back-to-back matches in Louisville and Indianapolis. The only problem? The bus wasn't holding any oil. Like, at all.
Stranded in a funeral home parking lot in East Nashville, we're faced with a tough reality after a traveling mechanic delivers some of the worst news we could've imagined.

Florida here we come!
We're riding high after a successful first run with the soccer bus. After a stint up in North Carolina, we return home to the Sunshine State to prep for Round 2 of the Open Cup in Naples for FC Naples' third ever home match in club existence. If you'd believe it, hotels in Naples have plenty of bed bugs too.
Afterwards, we plan a weekend hang with a local film lab and begin to look out west to escape the impending Florida heaer. All the while a persistent beeping inside the bus intensifies...

The Soccer Bus finally hits the road.
After an abbreviated planning and renovation period, the bus sets sail on it's maiden voyage. Charting a path from Orlando, FL up through the end of the Appalachian Mountains to North Carolina. This first trip was nothing short of ambitious. Especially considering we hadn't driven the bus more than 30 miles until now...
3 games in 3 days. That was the goal. Document three unique match days from the first round of the 2025 U.S. Open Cup, stopping in Asheville, Boone, and High Point to visit Asheville City SC, Appalachian FC, and Carolina Core, respectively. By the end of the week, the bus had logged almost 1,500 miles, hosted a mythical visitor, and somehow, ended up on a TV broadcast.

The journey begins! Join us for a walk down memory lane as we recount the story of how we renovated a bus from Facebook Marketplace, traveled the world to produce a magazine, and ultimately decided to chase the Open Cup, all in the span of 3 months.

12,000+ miles. A 1998 school bus. And a whole lot of soccer.
Join us (Gabe, Justin, Pablo, and Tyler) as we look back at the year that was for CLUBELEVEN. What began as a desire to put out a print magazine somehow ended in a campaign aptly title The Soccer Odyssey. A 140-page collectible magazine starring USMNT player Tim Weah followed by a bus tour for the ages.
From figuring out how to insure a vehicle none of us knew how to drive, all the way to marching through the streets of Austin with an armadillo ahead of the city's biggest ever match, The Soccer Odyssey chased every round of the 2025 U.S. Open Cup. Stopping in places like Asheville, Naples, Louisville, Philadelphia, Dallas, while working with organizations like Bayern Munich, Vermont Green, NYC Footy, and Portland Hearts of Pine along the way.
Buckle up and settle in, it'll be a long one. 12 hours recorded in one session - talking about all the good that soccer in this country is doing.
RELEASING WEEKLY BEGINNING FEBRUARY.
