In this episode, I sit down to talk with Terry Banman. Terry and his wife Rosie have been long term ministers working with the Ethnos organization where they served in the Isolated context of Papua New Guinea. We talk about some of the triumphs they experienced and some of the struggles that they had along the way, but the real point of this conversation was to point to the fact that we are all called by God to follow in obedience.
In this episode, we attempt to get a better sense of the connection between the  two CMC churches in British Columbia and the rest of the CMC churches in Manitoba. We also discuss the value for the individual congregation being connected with a conference of churches and we assess the job we have been doing as a conference to make that connection viable and valuable.
In this episode, we sit down with 4 people who have recently been, or are currently students getting post secondary, Christian education. These students share with us some of the benefits that they have recognized with intentionally dedicating time to Christian education. Now, if you have interest in going for this type of education or not, I believe that this conversation has an encouragement for anyone who desires to know God more and serve God with obedience.
We sat down with conference pastor, Bob Johnson, who has been working as a Church planter for the past three years, while maintaining a full time job. He is a man of great passion and his story is one of trust and perseverance.   If you want to check out his church's website you can go to https://winnipegconnectionchurch.com/    If you want to give towards the work Bob wants to do in Liberia visit this link and specify that the Money is for Bob Johnson's trip to Liberia. In this episode I speak with two trustees from the Christian Mennonite Conference to understand what they do for the churches and why that matters for us, the people in the churches.
Here it is, the first episode of the podcast for the people of the Christian Mennonite Conference. In this episode I sit down via zoom and speak with Dave Reimer, Stan Friesen and Sam Doerksen to find out how the leadership structure of the CMC works and the value that the conference has for the people of the conference.
In this episode, we have a conversation with Dave Reimer, the Bishop of the Christian Mennonite Conference. We get into several different topics including what it means to be a strong Christian leader. Dave is a good friend and mentor, I guarantee that he has some wisdom that you will find interesting if you are involved with Christian leadership.
In this episode, we speak with Eric Goertzen who shares part of his story that lead him into ministry. His story is one that a lot of people might relate to if they are seeking to follow God and be obedient to the calling they have received. We talk about the struggles of mission trips and the value of being involved in missions here or a far ways away.
How many of us that serve in ministry enter into another season wondering how much energy is going to be required of us this year? The thought of volunteering to help with the youth program might seem like the last thing your anxiety needs right now as you feel like you are forced to teeter on the verge of burning out in order to do all that you can for your church family. In this conversation Sam and Pauline Doerksen share from their experience about how we can be better prepared and equipped to volunteer our energy and time.
In this first episode of CMC sermons, Dave Reimer is preaching in CFC in Winkler MB on July 4, 2021. The message is all about how God has invited us into the throne room and because of Jesus's Holiness we get to answer that invitation.
In this episode Debbie Klassen has a conversation with me about what she has been learning recently from 1 Timothy about the practical roles we can play in order to see the benefits of being the local Church. Debbie Klassen is a member of the Steinbach CMC and her involvement in the conference has not been slight, as all who know her, she has been an incredible blessing for this conference. Enjoy this episode and the timely conversation I have with Debbie about what 1 Timothy has been teacher her recently.
