NCYO Updates

9/9 Junior Brass Ensemble, Brass Challenge - French Horn, and Brass Challenge - Trumpet classes are all canceled tonight. First rehearsal for those classes will be Monday 9/16. All other rehearsals are meeting as normal. Rehearsal Attendants (RA's) are needed for every rehearsal to help check students in to rehearsals and help maintain safety in the hallways. A sign up genius link is available on band. If your child needs a ride to rehearsal, please use the Band app to connect with other parents and make necessary arrangements. 9/28 Three volunteers needed for UNCC sectionals day from 10:00 to 1:00. 11/25 and 26 - Normal rehearsal schedule, if you are travelling for the holiday or won't be at rehearsal for other reasons, please fill out absence form available on BAND and our website 11/30 - No prelude strings rehearsal 11/30 - Orchestra will perform at Light Up Cornelius 4:00-4:30. 11/11 - BE Veteran's Day performance in Davidson 10:15-12:15 11/11 - No Monday rehearsals due to the holiday Now-11/16 - Ada Jenkins Collection Drive 11/16 - Prelude Strings Level 2 performance at Ranson Ridge at 1:00. This does not conflict with Prelude rehearsal Saturday morning. There will still be practice. Now-11/23 - Fall Fundraiser

Now - 11/23 - Monthly supporter drive. Students are asked to find one or more persons to sign up to be a monthly CYO supporter. Resources are available on BAND for anyone who'd like assistance on ways to do this. 11/4 - CYO's collection drive for the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson begins. Students may bring items to rehearsal now through Saturday November 16. Please see BAND post for a list of needed items. 11/4 - Only horn players will be needed for JBE rehearsal on Monday in order to prepare for the performance on Saturday, November 9 which will feature just the horn players (I can't seem to figure out a good way to word this announcement, so if you have better verbiage, please use it) 11/4 - Brass Challenge Trumpet will not meet this week 11/5 - Rehearsals will be held as usual. Election day will not affect our schedule. 11/9 - Brass Ensemble will perform at Ramah Presbyterian Church for Christmas in the Country at 10:00 11/9 - JBE Horn section will perform at Ramah Presbyterian Church for Christmas in the Country at 3:00 11/9 - CYO String Quartet will perform at Huntersville Veterans Day parade 11/11- BE will perform at the Davidson Veterans Day event at 10:45 and 12:00 11/11 - No Monday rehearsals due to Veterans Day holiday Also, volunteers are needed for the Christmas party for CYO's performing groups (Orch, BE, WE, Phil, JBE, JWE, and Sinfonia).
