Episode 40: Sonny

Episode 40: Sonny

2019-11-1800:53:30

In this episode, the gang discusses Cage’s directorial debut (okay, also the only film he directed, so far) Sonny. James Franco plays Sonny, a former-gigolo who returns home to New Orleans from war, searching for a “normal” life. Instead, he finds a lot of titties and ass. Definitely watch for Cage’s acting as “Acid Yellow” and for Linda’s very brief report at the end on Lisa Marie Presley and Nic Cage.Sorry, Adrian was experiencing a technical issue with his recording equipment. So, the audio kinda sucks, but we fixed it in the next episode. I promise!

This week, we discussed John Woo’s WWII film, Windtalkers. It was supposed to be about the Navajo Marines (“Codetalkers”, played by Adam Beach and Roger Willie) but it ended up being more about Cage’s broken-soldier character. Oh, yeah! It also has Christian Slater, Mark Ruffalo (The Gruffalo), and Peter Stormare!
On a very special episode of Cage’s Kiss we cover his work in A Christmas Cage - er Carol. We discuss the terror of a rodent infestation and how this movie would have been better if it were crossed with Hellraiser.

In this episode of Cage’s Kiss, we ask the hard-hitting questions like “Does Téa Leoni really look like Haley Joel Osment in a wig?” and “Is Seal a creeper? Is his song coming from inside your house?” and “Isn’t Don Cheadle better than this?” Join us for The Family Man.
This week we discuss the pointless remake of the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds,” which features Cage, Robert Duvall, Christopher Eccleston, Giovanni Ribisi, and Skeletor…I mean Angelina Jolie. This week, we pick fights with Jolie and Ridley Scott and pick a magic word of the day.
Join us in this episode as we discuss one of the best Nic Cage movies ever made, Bringing Out the Dead. We also discuss our love for Tom Hanks and John Cusack and Linda’s contribution to The Ghostbusters! This movie has one of the most amazing casts ever put together: Nicolas Cage, John Goodman, Tom Sizemore, Marc Anthony, Patricia Arquette, Ving Rhames, and Queen Latifah!
