Finally, a somewhat complete game under our belt. Now our attention shifts to Jordan-Hare, always a tough place to play, especially at night. This younger generation of Dawgs fans needs to go watch highlights of the 2010 game so they can learn how to hate Auburn the way they're supposed to. Despite the incredible atmosphere in Sanford Stadium last Saturday, and more than enough chances to take the lead in the 2nd half, the Dawgs couldn't get it done against the Crimson Tide once again. This one stings. The question isn't "Do we have a Bama problem?". It's "Are we ever going to get rid of our Bama problem?". The game we've all been waiting for. The Alabama Crimson Tide return to Sanford Stadium for the first time in a decade. First night game of the year. The air will be a little crisp. Rocky Top you'll always be... terrified to play the Georgia Bulldogs. Count 'em, that's 9 in a row against a team that we watched kick our tail every other year growing up. We want the full decade next year. Gunner played his tail off, the running game got going, but we need more from this defense. Even still, that was an incredible win and a fun game to watch for even the least interested college football fan.We've got a bye this week. Between NIL, the Transfer Portal, and the high-level discussion regarding revenue sharing in college athletics, this sport doesn't look much like it did 10 years ago, or even 5, for that matter. We are thankful to still have the best Head Coach in the land to handle this ever-changing landscape of college football. What a ride this season has been. If you asked us after the Ole Miss game if we thought the Dawgs had a chance in hell to win the SEC, we would have told you that you have lost your mind. But this team keeps proving us wrong. The "never say die dawgs" have been through the wildest SEC gauntlet we have ever seen, and despite Sankey's best efforts to hand Texas the trophy, them DAWGS came out on top once again.
What a team. What a coach. What a time to be a Dawg!

We hope each of you Dawg fans have caught your breath after that 8 overtime thriller vs Georgia Tech last Friday. Your heart may never recover, but we need all of Dawg Nation to be yelling and screaming for them Dawgs this Saturday in a rematch against the Texas Longhorns for the SEC crown. Don't get too comfortable with the fact we beat them by two scores in Austin a few weeks back. This is a new season and we have to fight for every inch. The biggest game of the year kicks off at 4:00 Saturday afternoon. Vegas has us a 2.5 point underdog. You know Kirby loves to hear that.

We hate Florida. The Gators are picking up some momentum heading into this game, which always makes these two Dawg fans nervous. We grew up in the days when beating the Gators was about as rare as finding a Florida fan who didn't own a pair of jorts. Thankfully, the mentality surrounding this game amongst our football game has shifted under Kirby. He won't admit it publicly, but he knows it is always the biggest game of the year.

Welcome to the SEC, Longhorns. It ain't going to get any easier from here. You should have capitalized when you had a chance. Poor little ol' Georgia was coming to play in your stadium and you couldn't help but to lay an egg. The Georgia Bulldog defense stuck your face in the turf early and often. Best defensive performance we've seen the whole year. Them Dawgs are right back in the thick of it, and it doesn't look like Kirby is going to allow them to let up anytime soon.

After the scare at Kentucky and watching Vandy knock-off Alabama, we will not be overlooking ANYBODY. The western Bulldogs visit the Classic City this weekend for another SEC showdown. We're all excited about the trip to Austin next week but let's try to focus on Mississippi State until Sunday, please.

The DAWGS take on the Crimson Tide at 7:30 Saturday evening on ABC. We have an opportunity to beat Alabama at their place and cement ourselves atop college football. Something tells us Kirby and the Dawgs will have the boys ready to play much better than they did against Kentucky. This should be a classic SEC fist fight. Let's take it to 'em.
