Special Guest: Micah Schriller 1/17/2021 Micah Schriller from Spearfish YoungLife joined us this Sunday to give a special message. Micah has been with YoungLife for 10 years and with the Spearfish YoungLife for about six years. The message Micah shared with us was awesome. We’re so excited you’ve decided to listen to it. If you’re unfamiliar with YoungLife, it’s a ministry geared to reach teenagers. Their website sums it up well, “We invite kids to follow Christ, care for them regardless of their response, and change lives in the process.”  While you listen to this message, take some time before or after to look up Colossians 3:1-14. You're Bible (or Bible App), might have a title above the passage. The NIV Bible has this title, "Living as Those Made Alive in Christ". That's exactly the challenge we, as Christians, should strive to do, and those who have yet to accept Christ into their hearts should know that we are doing. This week take time to reflect on this passage. Take the passage verse by verse in prayer and ask the Lord to speak to you through it. You certainly won’t regret it! Want to know more about YoungLife in Spearfish? If you have teenagers or want to be a part of their ministry, check out their website! https://spearfish.younglife.org If you’re in another area and you’d like to explore if youngLife is in a city near you, check out the link below! https://www.younglife.org/Locator/Pages/default.aspx This message is brought to your from Calvary Temple Assemblies of God Church in Spearfish, S.D. Pastor Charitie Sandoz Sermon 1/10/2021 Matthew 6:5-15 & 18:21 Prayer is communication with God. We’ve made a commitment in this new year to make prayer a priority. We’re exploring the Lord’s Prayers and how to make each word more impactful. We’ll also look at practical tips for prayer. Our hope is that this challenges you in your prayer life and you can grow with us. For more information or to get in contact with us, visit: https://www.calvaryspearfish.com
Pastor Charitie Sandoz Sermon 1/03/2021 James 5:13; Matthew 6:6-8 & 23:13; Acts 12:5; 1 Timothy 2:1; Romans 8:26-28; Daniel 10:1-5 & 12-13; Philippians 4:6-7 What's on your list of New Year's resolutions? A new diet? A new workout? Better savings or more responsible spending? Prayer is on our list of New Year's resolutions, and we want to challenge you to do the same. But, just like that new diet, workout or budget... without commitments - it just won't stick. Be intentional and carve out time to set a spiritual habit that will forever change your life. If you're struggling to make prayer a priority, remember these things; prayer is communication with God (and it's not intimidating if we talk to God like our friend), God tells us to pray, prayer works, and God cares. We're so excited to come along side those who are committing to this resolution with us! Happy New Year! For more information or to get in contact with us, visit: https://www.calvaryspearfish.com

Matthew 1:20-23; John 1:1-18; 1 John 1:1-4 This Christmas season, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, it's not lost on us that the year 2020 has been difficult for many people and families alike. So many of us are focused on what we won't have or what we are missing this year. Pastor Mark has this to say in response, "It's alright, because Christmas is about Jesus!". Could it be that the Lord wants this to be an incredibly special Christmas season for us? Jesus wants us to have a Christmas season that we truly set our hearts on celebrating Him and why He came. Today we explore two reasons why this is true for us; the incarnation of Jesus and Immanuel (God with us).
