This week, the boys get literary as we start our Book vs Film season, and what better way to start than discussing American Psycho directed by Mary Harron. Based on the 1991 novel by Bret Easton-Ellis and starring Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman, the story leans into the shocking and the surreal as we follow a 90s Wall Street bro. A satirical look at masculinity, capitalism and yuppie culture, we discussed the themes and differences between the novel and the movie adaptation, the incredible character that is Patrick Bateman and why you'll never look at a chunk of brie the same ever again Remember to hit that subscribe button and leave us a lovely review. Civil war comes to Cast Me To Hell as we enter the 70s era of our Must See Halloween Horror with Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror Alien.  Featuring some truly iconic moments, the introduction of the terrifying H.R. Tiger created Xenomorph and some absolutely jaw dropping cinematography, we discuss our thoughts and history with the franchise, the James Cameron effect and why this movie just doesn't click with Robbie (because there's always one isn't there).  So strap in as we ask ourselves - Is Alien must see horror? Spooky Season has officially begun, and so we are trawling back to our Must See Horror feature to discuss some true genre classics.  In 1968, George A. Romero redefined zombies as we know them with Night of the Living Dead! A truly influential horror film that forged zombies into the shuffling flesh eaters that they are today. We discussed how this iconic horror movie has shaped our tastes in classics, a brief ranking of the series and some behind the scenes tidbits. We also ask the question - Is Night of the Living Dead Must See Horror? So join us as the dead return to life! The Cast Me To Hell boys are taking a trip along the Amazon River for this weeks creature feature, the Razzie nominated and cult classic Anaconda! Featuring yet another stacked cast of Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube ( another American rapper in a blockbuster 90s horror movie), , Owen Wilson (wow) and Jon Voight doing possibly the strangest accent ever as a documentary crew taking on a giant anaconda.  With some incredible practical effects and some poorly aged CGI, we ask 'just how does an anaconda kill its prey', and how do you stop it from being a one trick pony.  Where does this film stack up against the greatest monster movies, and is it more than just childhood nostalgia? Remember to hit that subscribe button and leave us a lovely review. The Cast Me To Hell boys keep on marching this week as we discuss our full thoughts on Stephen King's The Long Walk. We're talking the brutal kills, the harrowing moments and the heartbreaking deaths of this mix of Stand By Me and The Hunger Games. Is this one of the best Stephen King adaptations, and is where does this rank with the best horror movies of 2025? This week we bring you our spoiler free review of Stephen King's The Long Walk.  First written in 1979 and later released under the Richard Bachman pseudonym, this dystopian precursor to films such as The Hunger Games and Battle Royale sees fifty kids take the long walk, in which there can only be one winner.  We give our spoiler free thoughts on this quintessentially King story, and discussed whether it belongs with the best Stephen King adaptations. This week, we're trying to help fight Alzheimers by genetically engineering mako sharks. Why you ask? Because this is a Renny Harlin's late 90s action horror Deep Blue Sea. Featuring an absolutely stacked cast including a pre The Punisher Thomas Jane, Samuel L. Jackson (I don't think we do any Pulp Fiction quotes somehow), and LL Cool J (because it's not a late 90s blockbuster horror without an American rapper), what's not to love? We discuss Robbie's thalassophobia, the shark attacks, some behind the scenes tidbits and some great practical effects but bad CGI. Is this the greatest shark film after Jaws, or is it dead in the water? Please remember to hit that subscribe button and leave us a lovely review. This week's creature feature takes us to Maine, where there's something sinister lurking in the serene waters of Lake Placid. Directed by Steve Miner and starring a stacked cast featuring Bill Pullman (handsome king), Brendan Gleeson, and a foul mouthed Betty White (RIP). This was a horror film we both loved in the 90s, and we're chomping at the bit to get our jaws around this monster movie, but the question remains, does it hold up? Is Lake Placid the greatest crocodile movie of all time, or is it looking more like Lake Flaccid as we discuss the fun, the flawed, and the scaled and clawed in this childhood piece of 90s nostalgia. Please remember to hit that subscribe button and leave us a lovely review. There's new episodes every week, and we cover the newest horror releases, underrated gems, and genre classics. We return with a new seasonal feature. Creature Features where we look at the best feature film that contain well a creature of some form. This time on real common water based creatures. We are beginning with the pinnacle of all creature features - Steven Spielberg's Jaws. On its 50th anniversary, features in our Must See Horror list and we will be discussing some of its Book V Film themes as we discuss some of the differences between the film and Peter Benchley's original novel. So this week we are hitting all marks and playing into that shark week love.  Tell us your thoughts on Jaws or your favourite creature features @cmthpodcast on Twitter and Instagram.  If you enjoy our content then please subscribe and leave us a lovely rating and review to help our podcast grow.
This week it's relationship issues meets body horror as we discuss Michael Shanks feature directorial debut Together featuring real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie. Is it gore galore? So buckle up with the Cast Me To Hell boys, as two become one.
