The title is twofold. This is the last episode of season 2 on Catch You Outdoors. Season 3 begins next week. It's also a reference to the quiet time here in the Keys and other Florida locations with the end of summer. Locals get a breather.
This was a non interview week, so I ran with fishing. Just about everything you'd ever want to know about using artificial shrimp lures. I've had a ton of success using them and thought I'd pass along some tips.
Local historian Brad Bertelli joined me this past week. He knows more about the history of the Florida Keys than anyone I've met. Tune in and learn, and then be sure to look him up whether you live here or just visiting.
Season 5 has arrived. Some big changes in the show with the addition of more content, interviews and lots of additional Florida Keys information. Listen all the way to the end for a surprise! My special guest is JoNell Modys with Visit Florida Keys tourism. You might recognize her last name.
Yes... there's a fishing report along with a follow up on additional fishin garb. This time it's hats, shoes, buffs and sunglasses. Tune in and thanks for listening! Note! Season 5 starts next week!
It was good to be back on the water after some perfectly awful weather here in the Keys... And the fishing was great, despite a huge king tide. Thanks much for listening!
We are all going to miss Flip Pallot. What an amazing man and voice for anglers. He was the one of reasons that I became a fishing guide. Tune in for my memories of him and also for what's happening down here in the Keys.
News and weather, along with tips about how to stay cool in the crazy hot summer weather of the Florida Keys.
It's been hot and very calm here over the past week. That's about to change, but we could use a nice breeze. Some FWC news and a fishing trip or two are also included this week.
Lots of rain this week, with thunderstorms and winds a blowing. So this week I plotted a to-do list for my bucket list. Thanks much for listening!
It's mini season time here in the Florida Keys. Hundreds, if not thousands of lobster hunters are here for 2 days to catch those delicious crustaceans. Regular lobster season opens on August 6th. There's also a fishing report and some happenings down this way. Thanks much for listening!
The winds laid down, the weather improved and we had a great fishing day. Also some local news and upcoming events. Thanks much for tuning in.
The title says it all. Sorry, no fishing this week thanks to rainy and windy weather. But there were plenty of events to cover, so dig in, and thanks for listening.
The weather suddenly cooperated and I managed to do a couple of days on the water. Thanks much for listening!
Thanks much for listening. Some local color and a quick list of what's happening for the 4th of July weekend here in Keys.
Ahhh Summertime. It's here and it's warm! Finished up the visit of my daughter, Jessica, with a day trip to Key West. Made her smile. Thanks for tuning in!
My daughter visited us from Kentucky. We fished, we dined and we explored. Can't wait for her to return! Thanks much for listening.
Ok, the title is a giveaway. There's also some Keys news along with some results from my bait shrimp test. Thanks for listening!
Yes indeed! We finally got rain and lots of it. Hoping to get back on the water soon, but found enough to talk about for this weeks podcast. Hope you enjoy it.
My wife JoNell's birthday fell on Memorial Day this year, so we celebrated her birthday all 3 day in Key West and Islamorada. Fun was most certainly had.
