Fr John promotes disunity snd seems to be unaware of differing views within the American Catholic Church. The number of seminarians has been declining for decades. Also, thousands of Catholics have returned to the church because of Pope Francis. The arrogance of the young priests on this podcast, especially Fr. John’s arrogance, is stunning. Fr. John needs to be humbled, and I pray that he will be.
Now I know why we don't sing, "City of God" anymore. I liked that song, but I see why it doesn't make sense.

solid! thanks Fr John (even though you'll never see this)
powerful! thank you.
I went and read the introduction to the new edition of Dare We Hope and was very concerned about Bishop Baron sounding like a universalist. Surprised and disappointed.
I have enjoyed the whole journey from the first episode. it's great to hear the honest perspective of those wearing the collar.
This is a great podcast but the first 1/4 was not that fun to listen to.
Marriage is not entirely about raising children, Sex is not primarily about procreation. Both empower the relationship between two people. No wonder the catholic church is dwindling in the west. I'm saying this as a catholic.
What a pleasure to hear Alicia! Come back anytime. :)
For some reason the last 5 minutes of the episode are cut off.
Stumbled upon this podcast looking for new shows to listen to during lent, and wow... Started with a few of the recent episodes on Google podcast and then got curious about the first episodes. Unfortunately Google podcast only goes back to 2014, and I realized after I listened to a few that there had to be more. So now I am listening to it bottom to top. Amazing work from this inspiring priests. Love the banter, the down to earth nature. God bless you!
I believe it's pronounced as though it were spelled, in English, 'zeal-zorger'. Love the show.

By the way, that song is Richard Marx, not Bryan Adams. just saying. I just found you guys on the last day of you two. I really liked your banter and your insight. I finally am getting the deeper meaning of the Prodigal Son. Thank you!
As a former catholic I treasure every day I am away from this religion.
i think that the reason artists gravitate towatds drugs is because you cant create good art without some connection to the transcendent or intangible. But as an artist I think its greater to make art with God by connecting as much as you can to his beauty. But i feel like Beauty is the most neglected of the transcendentals no one talks about it. So maybe thats part of the problem?
