This week on Cattitude, Michelle Fern chats with writer and critic Rebecca van Laer about her debut memoir, Cat. Van Laer explores how our lives with cats reshape the wild we’ve tried to domesticate—what “tame,” “neuter,” and “indoors” say about nature and about us. She shares why she chose a life plus cats (not kids), and how “undomesticating” herself alongside her senior companions Toby and Gus reframed love, work, and family. From cats’ mysteriously divine histories to millennial burnout in a content-marketing grind, maternal fault lines, and the radical permission in feline laziness and pleasure, Rebecca’s reflections purr with humor and honesty—right down to Gus’s opinion: “I don’t want to be famous…I just want to go to the basement.”EPISODE NOTES: Toby, Gus & Me: Choosing a Life Plus Cats with Rebecca van LaerBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/cattitude-the-1-cat-podcast--6666768/support.

I recently bought some toys and a cozy bed for my cat and dog from this store https://petsaccessoriesonline.com/ and both were a hit! The quality is great, and the prices are reasonable. Shipping was quick, and everything arrived in perfect condition.
Hello Ms Fern, It's Yin! Mom and I listened to the show last night!!! What a great show this was! Dr Jack is super informative and easy to understand. He was "spot on" about everything! We didn't even know there was a test for ticks! Indeed I was so tired and my gums had no color, just pale white. Guess what? My anemia is no more!!! Bad news is, now I have DIABETES. Yeah, from the steroid treatment for the anemia. I weigh 14 lbs. Oof, I was always a thicc gurl but this is ridiculous. Anyway, my moms gives me insulin and got me on a diet. 👿 NOT HAPPY. 👿 She tries to hide the treats up high......but I can still get up that cat tree like a champ. LOL. But, she is hoping we can fix this too. I'm feeling much better now. Thank you for all you concern and love! Thank you Dr Jack as well. Love , YIN 🐈
