Wilfried Nancy registered his first win as Celtic manager at the weekend, and with 31 efforts on goal showed more signs of the attacking football we may be set to witness under his stewardship.
It’s been a rocky start for the Frenchman, and some defensive frailties have undoubtedly been exposed, but going forward there’s plenty to be excited about and if he can blend the two together then we could be on to a winner.
The nature of his opening few weeks however means we’re nudging forward on a game-to-game basis with many still unsure of his suitability for the role and the only thing he can do to convince the doubters is win games of football, with Livi next in the firing line this weekend.
Elsewhere we also look at the increasing influence Paul Tisdale has at the club and if – based on past performance – he’s the right guy to take us into one of our most important transfer windows in years!

Tonight brings a trip to Tannadice to face a Dundee United side grappling with their own problems - and Nancy will be desperate to take advantage on Tayside.
He’ll have to do it without Sebastian Tounekti and Michel-Ange Balikwisha, both away on AFCON duty, as well as the injured Kelechi Iheanacho.
Predicting the starting XI feels almost impossible right now, but whatever the selection, the hope is the Bhoys can deliver the victory that finally kick-starts Nancy’s reign.
🎙️ Join Tino and Ryan for this one as they look ahead to a pivotal night at Tannadice for Celtic.

Wilfried Nancy’s Celtic reign couldn’t have got off to a worse start with three defeats from three in little more than a week in the job.
Bizarre as it may sound, it already feels like a long road back for the Frenchman, with some making an early call in writing off his chances of ever succeeding as Celtic manager.
But you don’t need to be watching too closely to see that Celtic’s problems run far deeper than the man in the dugout. We take a deeper dive into what’s really going wrong - and ask what, if anything, can be done to get the club back on track.
There’s little time to catch breath though, as the fixtures coming. Nancy’s next major test now awaits at Tannadice on Wednesday night.
🎙️ Join Tino, James, Paddy and Brydo as they unpack another turbulent week for Celtic in the latest episode of Celtic Exchange Weekly.

Just over a week into the job and already under pressure from various angles, Wilfried Nancy remarkably has the chance to win the first silverware of the season this weekend.
Brendan Rodgers began our League Cup journey, Martin O’Neill guided us through the semi-final win over Rangers, and now Nancy can finish the job as he makes his first trip to Hampden on Sunday to face St Mirren.
The Paisley side, as we know, are well drilled under Stevie Robinson and will be determined to spoil the party. Celtic, meanwhile, will be pushing to lift the trophy for what would be the 23rd time in our history.

As scorer of one of the two most important goals in Celtic's history, Tommy Gemmell has firmly secured his place in the Celtic history books. Voted by fans in Celtic's greatest ever XI, the marauding full back will forever be remembered as a Lisbon Lion but now a group from his hometown of Craigneuk want to ensure his legacy touches ever more lives with a special project in his name. The Tommy Gemmell Community Project aims to place a statue of the great man in the town but - as stated by the group themselves - the project is "more than a statue". In the words of Tommy's friend Martin McCrum, founder of the project its an endeavour which will "signify hope, inspiration and motivation" in Tommy's community and beyond. A lasting legacy to one of Celtic's greatest sons. We were delighted to be joined at Celtic Exchange by Martin and by Tommy's wife Mary as they shared the passion that's been driving this incredible project to new heights. 🍀 Fans who'd like to support the project and follow the progress can do so at the website below or by following "Tommy Gemmell Community Project" on social media. 🔗 https://tommygemmellcp.co.uk/

It was a bruising night for Celtic as Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma left Glasgow with a 3-0 win on Europa League Matchday 6.
Wilfried Nancy named an unchanged XI as he chased the kind of result that could ignite his Celtic tenure, but that wait goes on. Up against the Serie A high-flyers, the Bhoys couldn’t find the spark they needed.
After a particularly difficult first half, a triple substitution at the break brought some improvement, but it’s clear there’s still plenty of work ahead if Nancy is to steer his side toward winning form.
The defeat leaves our Europa League hopes hanging in the balance, with focus now shifting quickly to Sunday’s League Cup Final against St Mirren.

At time of writing Wilfried Nancy has been in Glasgow for less than a week, but it must feel like a lifetime for the Frenchman given the noise since Sunday's loss to Hearts.
Thankfully the man himself seems well able to drown out the noise and accepted in his pre match press conference that it's all part of the job.
Another part of the job of course is getting results and he'll be hoping he can claim just that against Roma as they come calling at Celtic Park in Europa League action.
It's only Game Two for Nancy, but already it feels like a biggie.

Celtic are a club unlike any other, and while Wilfried Nancy will have done his homework before landing in Glasgow, nothing could have prepared him for the frankly absurd backlash that followed his opening-day defeat to Hearts.
Fair questions can be asked about his immediate shift to a 3-4-3, but the mockery of his tactics boards and his post-match interview has been nothing short of ridiculous.
If nothing else, the past few days will have given him a crash course on life at Celtic.
Next up for the new man is a pivotal double-header against Roma in the Europa League, before a League Cup Final showdown with St Mirren on Sunday.
Two tough tests, unquestionably - but also the ideal stage for Nancy to silence a few critics.
🎙️ Join Tino, James, Mif & Brydo as they break it all down in the latest episode of The Celtic Exchange Weekly.

It was never going to be straightforward for Wilfried Nancy as he stepped into the shoes of a Celtic legend like Martin O’Neill - and Sunday’s debut highlighted that fact.
A 2–1 defeat to Hearts wasn’t in the script for the Frenchman, and the early adoption of his preferred 3-4-3 setup has already raised eyebrows among the Celtic support.
Nancy appears committed to the system, given the success it’s brought him elsewhere, but the hope now is that it begins to click with this squad sooner rather than later.
With huge fixtures against Roma and St Mirren in the League Cup Final coming up this week, he’ll know - fairly or not - that time is not on his side. Finding that winning formula quickly is essential, and he’ll be desperate to put things right as quickly as possible.
🎙️ Join Tino & Conor as they break down an intriguing afternoon at Celtic Park, as Wilfried Nancy’s Celtic fall short in the top-of-the-table clash with Hearts.

Fans at loggerheads with the club. Tension thick in the air. Anxiety over what the future holds.
It could easily describe events of the last few months - but this time we’re talking about Celtic in the early 90s, when the club lurched from one crisis to the next in what was, frankly, an existential struggle for survival at Celtic Park.
Thankfully, Fergus McCann and others stepped up during those turbulent years, and in 'And If You Know The History? ' (written by Jim Orr and starring Des McLean) that story is retold with a quirky, compelling twist.
Jim and Des joined us in the studio this week to talk about the show’s return and to draw parallels between those dark days and the current turmoil unfolding at Celtic.
It made for an entertaining session - and a glimpse of what you can expect if you’re lucky enough to get tickets for next year’s run.
🎟️ 'And If You Know The History?' runs from 27th - 29th August 2026 at the Pavillion Theatre and tickets can be purchased now at the link below.

It's been a whirlwind five weeks for Martin O'Neill on his return to Celtic but the job he's done in that tine has been nothing short of remarkable.
Five straight Scottish Premiership wins, a League Cup Semi victory over Rangers and a win on the road in the Europa League - and some thought he could have been in danger of tarnishing his legacy by returning...!
O'Neill deserves all the praise coming his way for what he's achieved - as do Shaun Maloney, Mark Fotherinbgham & Stephen McManus - but for him the most pleasing aspect will be where he now leaves us.
Last night's win over Dundee draws us level on points with Hearts at the top of the table, and with the Edinburgh side making their way to Celtic Park on Sunday its all to play for in Wilfried Nancy's first game.
If he makes a fraction of the impact on Celtic as O'Neill has then we can look forward to wait awaits us under the frenchman.
🎙️ Join Tino and Joe for their review of an emotional night for Martin O'Neill as he took centre stage one last time.

Martin O'Neill has the chance to make it a flawless seven domestic wins from seven when Celtic host Dundee on Wednesday night in what looks set to be his final act as Interim Manager (correct at time of publication). And there’s no more fitting stage for his farewell than Celtic Park.
The perfect run has already earned O’Neill the November Manager of the Month award, and a victory over Stephen Pressley’s side would provide the fairytale ending to his incredible return.
Sentiment aside, there’s an important job to be done by his side, and a win would heap fresh pressure on league leaders Hearts - who themselves face Kilmarnock - with the Bhoys now just two points off the summit.
It promises to be an emotional night in store as we look for the perfect conclusion to a near perfect five weeks in the job for O'Neill.

What Martin O’Neill has delivered as Interim Manager has been nothing short of remarkable. So much so, in fact, that many fans - understandably - would happily press pause on the imminent passing of the Celtic baton to Wilfried Nancy.
But as football always reminds us, even the best reigns (interim or otherwise) must come to an end. And for O’Neill, that looks to be approaching fast.
When he does step aside, he’ll do so with the gratitude of the entire support, for answering the call when Celtic needed him most, and for breathing life back into a side that had clearly lost its way.
The spotlight now turns to Nancy. His task will be to build on O’Neill’s work and sustain the momentum that’s been reignited in recent weeks. Supporters will be hoping for clarity and confirmation on the Frenchman's arrival in the days ahead.
Elsewhere, the Celtic Fans Collective have confirmed a march will take place ahead of Sunday’s clash with Hearts. It will set off from Celtic’s birthplace of St Mary’s in the Calton at 1.15pm, before making its way to Celtic Park ahead of kick-off - with the social media announcement encouraging all fans to attend:
“All Celtic fans are invited to join us as we embark on a unifying and defiant celebration of everything good about Celtic Football Club.”
🎙️ Join Tino, Mif & Brydo as they discuss all of the above and more on the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly.

Not so long ago, the idea of this Celtic side taking three away wins on the bounce at St Mirren, Feyenoord and Hibs would have sounded far-fetched - until the Martin O’Neill factor kicked in.
Since returning as Interim Manager, O’Neill has sparked this squad back to life, restoring belief and bite, with the likes of Arne Engels, Yang and Reo Hatate all thriving under his guidance.
And the great man may not be gone just yet, as the club finalise Wilfried Nancy's imminent arrival as our new Head Coach.
Crucially, O’Neill has hauled Celtic to within two points of leaders Hearts - and a win over Dundee at Celtic Park on Wednesday night will send us back to the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
🎙️ All in all a big week on the road for Celtic, and Tino and Brydo cover it on this latest Final Whistle Show.

Celtic head to Easter Road on Sunday knowing a win would cut the gap at the top to just two points on leaders Hearts - a game that will also mark the final appearance of club legend Martin O’Neill in the dugout.
O’Neill has made a remarkable impact since stepping in as interim boss almost five weeks ago - reigniting this Celtic side by dragging them firmly back towards the top and restoring confidence in Europe with Thursday's big win against Feyenoord - and he’ll be determined to sign off in style after a spell that has breathed fresh belief into players and supporters alike.
Yet in typical style in his pre-match press conference, O’Neill brushed aside any talk of legacy. His sole focus is on the three points that could take Celtic one step closer to the Premiership summit.
Whatever the outcome in Leith, his influence has been unmistakable - lifting spirits, restoring momentum, and reminding everyone what he's all about.
Martin O'Neill leaves with the thanks of everyone connected with Celtic for answering the call when it mattered most.

Ahead of Celtic’s trip to Rotterdam, everyone in green and white was willing Martin O’Neill to conjure one last European night to remember before stepping aside as interim boss.
Hope or expectation? Who cares - when the moment arrived, so did the man. And what a continental farewell it was.
A 3-1 win away from home - after falling behind - is the kind of result that deserves to be savoured. For a side not exactly renowned for away victories in Europe, this one feels extra sweet.
Huge credit to the travelling support, as ever, with our own Paddy proudly among them. Every mile, every delay, every bleary-eyed journey home will be worth it after a performance like that.
The victory lifts Celtic back up the Europa League table, and with three games still to play, the baton now passes to Wilfried Nancy to carry this campaign forward.

It seems that Celtic don't have the monopoly on footballing headaches at this moment in time with Feyenoord facing a few struggles of their own ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash.
Robin Van Persie is coming under increasing pressure in the De Kuip hot seat and with four losses in their last five is up against it ahead of the visit of Celtic.
Martin O'Neill has confirmed in today's (Wednesday) press conference that this will be his last European game as interim Celtic manager and he'll be desperate to sign off with a win.
With just four points from twelve in the competition so far though, time is running out for the Bhoys to get it right on the European stage this season.

Following Friday’s explosive AGM (or part AGM!) relations between the club and fans seem to have reached a new low, begging the ultimate question – what is the way forward?
Is there a way forward?
For that to happen it feels like something will have to give at the club’s side, but with that seemingly unlikely at this moment in time, where does that leave us?
As has been the theme of the season so far we’re left with far more questions than answers.
And what of Wilfried Nancy? A man who looks set to stroll right into the middle of a shit storm, following reports of his imminent arrival.
All in all it’s a helluva situation, with a resolve currently looking further away than ever.
🎙️ Join Tino, Paddy, James and Mif for the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly where they provide absolutely none of the answers to the above questions!

Just when when it looked like Celtic would have to settle for a share of the points in Paisley, Callum McGregor stepped up with a stunning 95th minute winner that now puts the pressure back on Hearts at the top of the table.
It was a win that even the most optimistic of fans likely didn't see coming however as the Bhoys huffed and puffed in an uninspiring display against a well drilled St Mirren - and its a result that could quite easily have gone the other way.
That said, McGregor knows what it takes to get a game like that over the line and lead by example with a sensational strike at the death to ensure Martin O'Neill's domestic record since his return now reads four wins from four.

Amidst all the noise of a particularly explosive AGM (more on that elsewhere) its almost been forgotten that Celtic are back in league action tomorrow night with a tricky away to tie against St Mirren in Paisley.
The game acts as a dress rehearsal of sorts with both sides facing off in the League Cup Final in just a few weeks time but any thoughts of that one must be put to one side for now, with Celtic chasing down another three vital league points.
With Hearts not playing until Sunday (away to Aberdeen) the game presents a big opportunity for Martin O'Neill's men to cut the gap at the top to just four points and to pile the pressure on the Edinburgh side who've now dropped points in two of their last three games.
O'Neill and Shaun Maloney by contrast have won all three domestic games since their return to Celtic Park as the interim management team.
🎙️ Join Tino & Greg for this one as they look ahead to some Saturday night football!
