Join the CPL Newsroom crew for their instant reaction and analysis of the draw for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup. CPL sides Forge FC and Cavalry FC will compete with some of the region's top sides, from Club América to Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, as they bid for continental glory. Forge will take on Liga MX giants Chivas Guadalajara, while Cavalry head to Florida for a matchup with Orlando City SC.
Forge FC won a fourth Canadian Premier League championship on Saturday at Tim Hortons Field, beating Cavalry FC in an instant classic final that saw three outstanding goals all scored in extra time. To look back on the spectacle, the CPL Newsroom presented by Volkswagen reconvened on Monday night to break down every moment of the 2023 Final. Kristian Jack takes us through the whole hour and a half and is joined first by co-hosts Charlie O'Connor-Clarke and Mitchell Tierney, before hearing from Forge FC digital host Mackenzie Barwell, Barton St. Battalion leader RJ Harrison, Forge head coach Bobby Smyrniotis, and OneSoccer personalities Adam Jenkins and Jordan Wilson. Throughout the show we also hear plenty of (occasionally champagne-soaked) reaction from Forge and Cavalry after the whistle on Saturday in Hamilton. Some clips courtesy of OneSoccer.
