Our episode this week involves one of Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters, Ray Fulcher. We’ve gotten to know Ray well over the last few years, and it’s no secret that outside of work and hunting, he can’t kick the golf bug.Cool story alert - we get into the beginning when he decided to move to Nashville. It was within that first week or so that he met another guy, and they both started hanging out and writing together. Ray tells the story and reveals that the guy he met early on was Luke Combs. The journey for him started there, and he started creating his craft by writing songs that ended up being cut by some major artists. We hear about what it’s like working in the music business and how the song process starts to take shape. If you’re an avid listener of the show, this isn’t your first time hearing from a songwriter. We turn the talk over to some small banter and life talk. Naturally, we gravitate into golf and ‘pay day’ Ray lets us in on his love for golf. This episode was recorded at Old Hickory in Nashville, TN. Sitting around a table, having a few beers, this episode will keep your attention. We turn the episode over to our tap-in segment, where Ray is asked four questions that demand his quick response. Tune in, share, and enjoy. It’s not too often you get to hear from a guy like Ray. If you’re an avid listener of the show, you know how we roll. Some weeks we have a guest, others it’s just a talk. That’s this week. We get into a wide variety of topics, including the ridiculous nature of a Halloween weekend with kids and a Halloween party that resulted in a fire.We cover our bases (no pun) on the recent MLB World Series and get into some general sports talk. After all, we are a ‘golf’ podcast, right? Speaking of golf, what is going on with golf? NOTHING! We tap into some fall golf discussion and touch on LIV golf opening a new qualifier up to the tour. Pepe gets challenged to No-Shave November. Will he do it? This episode is just us being us. Love it or hate it, it’s all we got. Next up..Ray Fulcher. Stay tuned for that drop. In this episode of Chasin’ Birdies, we sit down with Dick Lebeau to talk about golf and football and of course, his illustrious career. The episode opens up with our banter for the first 10 minutes, and then we turn it over to our interview with coach. We reflect on his experiences as a coach and player and discuss the evolution of football as we know it today. Coach opens up and talks about his memories on the field. We shift into the creation of the “Zone Blitz” and how that started...on a napkin. We turn the episode over to some golf talk. Coach fondly remembers his experiences with Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. We get into how he fell in love with golf and discuss similarities between football and golf.On a daily basis, he’d rather be chasin’ birdies. The episode shifts over to some good stories, and one he tells about the Super Bowl. Peep our instagram for the video. We conclude the episode with Coach expressing gratitude towards the career he’s had and the joy he finds in playing golf with his family. We end with our standard tap-in segment, where we ask Coach some questions that demand his quick response. Tune in, share, and listen to one of the greatest coaches to ever do it. This episode of Chasin’ Birdies is a special one. We were a part of the WVU Medicine Children’s Inaugural Golf Tournament at Nemacolin Resort and we hosted a live podcast for the guests of the event. Tyler Reeve joined us on this episode to share his story with us and tie in some golf talk. We cover a lot of topics in this episode, but hearing again how certain songs are created and the inspiration behind them never gets old. Tyler wrote Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know,” which has over a billion streams. A text message to Eric Church led to the collaboration with Luke Combs on the hit “Does to me”. These stories and more are intertwined throughout this interview. If he’s not sitting on the porch at Old Hickory in Nashville jammin’ with John Daly and friends (porch talk, as he calls it), Tyler can be found on the golf course chasin’ birdies and placing friendly wagers between the group. We tie in golf talk and hear about his recent round breaking 70.Tune in now, share, and let us know your thoughts. This episode is not only entertaining but very interesting from the perspective of a top songwriter in the 615. Key Links:Visit redvanly.com for great golf apparel now repped by Chasin’ Birdies. We have a lot to catch up on. Since our last drop, a lot has happened in the golf world. Most importantly, the Ryder Cup just concluded, and it didn’t go our way. We recap the Ryder Cup and offer our two cents—not that it matters, but we do it anyway. What is the envelope rule, and why is it applied? The matches were a lot closer than anyone may have thought when it came down to the finishing holes on Sunday. Did this ½ point matter? We lend our thoughts and are curious how this will play out in the future. We cover some time we had with our friends at Playin’ Through over at Nemacolin. And lastly, the iconic Ashworth Brothers 2-man took place in Oregon at Pronghorn, where one of us finished in second. We recap all this good stuff in this fun-filled banter of an episode. Corey Crowder has written hits for Florida Georgia Line, Chris Young, and several other country artists. On any given day, you can find him behind his mixing board in his home studio, droppin’ some beats, crafting some melodies, and dreamin’ of a fairway. As a Grammy-nominated producer, we get a look into his early career and living in bustling Nashville. We hear about his close ties to Florida Georgia Line and watching that beast grow. Corey explains the genres he’s into and the different way country artists express themselves now with collaborations of other genres. We get into his typical work routine and the family balance that takes place while now living in Georgia. We round out the show with some golf talk. We hear the highs and lows that we all face and recap some good memories on the course. This episode is light-hearted, funny, and extremely interesting. We round out the show with our standard Tap-In segment, where we ask Corey four questions that demand his quick response. Tune in, share, and let us know what you think! Crossed up, hand check, ball in the hole. Chandler Parsons is here on this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. Let me tell you...The guy is cooler than your momma’s sweet tea on an August afternoon. As expected, this episode is full of twists and turns and highly entertaining. We banter for 7-8 minutes before we turn the episode over to Chandler. We get into some golf talk right out the gate and hear about the Member-Guest experience at Gozzer Ranch. We all know the taxing nature of a member-guest tournament…and unfortunately, it’s more about stamina than it is golf. We ask the big question: Should a touring pro be allowed in a member-guest tournament? We turn the episode over to some court talk and get into the current state of the NBA. Chandler highlights some of his time in the NBA and what the game is like today compared to then. We flip it back over to round out some more golf talk and hear his perspective on playing the game and what matters most. Lots of good topics exist in this episode… so you’ll just have to tune in. We round out the episode with our tap-in segment, where we ask Chandler questions that demand his response. Tune in now...and share if you care. Here we are—the last major championship of the year, “The Open” championship as we know it. Today on Chasin’ Birdies, it’s the open mic drop as we get into golf talk, the final major of the year, and hear from a legend in Rocco Mediate as he drops by the show to share a few of his thoughts. We banter for the first few minutes in typical fashion. We turn our focus over to Royal Portrush (which we both played in 2022) and discuss our betting picks. Can McIlroy get it done in Northern Ireland? Is it going to be another US Open where the underdog prevails? We dive into all this and more. When Rocco joins, we get into the talk between the players and the media. He tells us his thoughts often comparing what Mr. Palmer would do. We circle back to the AWFUL ruling Sam Burns got at the US Open, and who he thinks can take it down in Northern Ireland. Tune in, share, and leave us your thoughts!Key Links:Visit redvanly.com for great golf apparel now repped by Chasin’ Birdies. In this episode of Chasin’ Birdies, we’re guest-free this week, and we’re here for it. We get a lot of love for our “banter” sessions, so it’s only right to do this one on a holiday weekend. We get into a broad range of topics in this episode. We say our Happy Birthdays to America and get right into some golf talk. What makes a good Member-Guest partner? Is the course or the partner more important in deciding whether or not you’re in? We dive into what makes a good plate a ‘good’ plate on the 4th of July. We turn into some golf talk and catch up with the PGA Tour. We recap the last tournament in Detroit and look ahead to the last major of the year. We debate the new tour schedule and question whether or not the new format is a yay or nay. After some more banter between the two of us, we sign off and wish everyone well. If you’re a new listener, this episode will give you a great inside look at the synergy that exists between us two hosts. If you’re an avid listener, this one will make ya chuckle. Entrepreneurs know best that ditching the blueprint and figuring out what works and what doesn’t can be a more rewarding path. From failures to home runs, overcoming adversity and believing in the vision takes you to greater heights. That’s what happened to our guest today. Gabby Gonzalez is here on Chasin’ Birdies to give us the dish on her rise to fame within the social media world and her marketing agency. In typical fashion…we open up the show with our seven minutes of banter..recapping the PGA, some bets, and of course our dry humor. We turn the show over to our guest, Billy Draddy, and get right into things with him. We discuss the emotional roller coaster that exists in pro sports, specifically golf, and other topics. The famous Pocket Polo is a hot shirt by B. Draddy. We hear the story of this polo and how it came to be after inspiration from another brand. One thing about Billy, he’s cooler than Freddie Couples in the final pairing. We hear about his family’s legacy in the clothing business and how he got his start doing what he does best. Billy also owns other apparel companies that specialize in golf being Zero Restriction, Fairway & Greene, as well as a women’s line. We touch on the evolution of golf fashion and where he sees things going in the next decade. This show gets into some recap of a recent golf excursion in GA and SC. If you’ve been to the Tree (“Peachtree”), you already know how special it is. If you’ve been lucky enough to stay and play at Sage Valley, you will enjoy the commentary in this episode. We got into the recent travel golf we’ve both been lucky enough to play. A phenomenal host and a phenomenal group of dudes make any golf trip special. After some tension arose Friday night between the two of us, we licked our wounds and moved on. For Pepe, he couldn’t help but bring this up at the beginning of the show. We recap the Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta and shed some light on that day, as well as how the course is playing. What holes are beautiful and what holes are your nemesis creates some valid discussions. We mosey on over to Sage Valley, where it feels like you’re arriving at a 5-star resort, but you realize you’re at a private golf club with no cost to spare. Get a glimpse of our last week just by listening to this episode…it’s that easy. And find some friends who aren’t scared to travel and play some golf. The memories are worth it, we promise. We’re back this week with a fresh one, and Jake Stoutland delivers an outstanding guest appearance as he joins us to get into some golf talk and such. The episode begins after our ~10-minute opening with the two of us, and then we roll it into Jake.We open up the discussions with Jake giving us a look at his background. As an avid golfer, he wasn’t necessarily in the golf space until one day he realized he had a knack for knowing stories that pertained to golf. Because of this, his storytelling social media handle was born. The conversation explores various themes, including the importance of community in golf, storytelling, and unique experiences offered by elite clubs. We highlight the golf in the Northeast and Long Island area. It’s true that a golf experience at a club is more important than the score you shoot, agree? We hear a sick story about the creation of Sand Hills Golf Club in Nebraska that few may know. We turn the page and get into some Masters talk and what it was like seeing Rory win the Green Jacket. We chat about the future of golf and the direction it's headed. At the end, we finish with our standard tap-in segment where we ask Jake questions that demand his quick response. Golf carts don’t really don’t cut it for Daniel. Too slow, and not enough torque. But, the man knows how to get it around the track on weekends. Daniel Dye is here this week to chop it up a bit about his early career in racing and his low-key love for golf.We get into some fast talk out the gate while hearing the story of his dad owning Roberto Clemente’s car that he drove to the airport before the plane crash. The car gets uncovered every 21st of the month, and it’s clear that cars and racing is in his DNA.He fills us in on life on the track and what a race means to him. We get a look inside the weekend and how the operations run when it's race time…like a 14-second four-tire change and refuel. We talk about road rage and what that means to him on a normal road. We turn the episode over to some golf talk and hear why he flies himself to Pinehurst on the reg. Different type of episode on Chasin’ Birdies today but it’s a great one. We think people who aren’t into golf don’t necessarily understand the grueling nature of a Member-Guest tournament. To make the shoot out is one goal, but to win it all ties in luck and straight puke-driven guts. That’s what happened to Mr. Pepe and Mr. Katzeff in the recent Pelican Golf Club Member-Guest. We open up and give Pep a big congrats and hear the story from him.We revisit the recent Pine Needles Invitational that took place a few weeks ago with none of us making the cut..again. To twist it up a bit, we phone a friend and request Brandon Katzeff join in to tell his side of the story since he won the Member-Guest after 6 months of joining the club. What does that look like from a club perspective? We touch on the PGA Tour and the first ‘non’ major of the year kicking off this weekend: The Players. Who you got? We round out the episode with some more banter and fun talks. Tune in, share, listen, and chase spring (and golf) with us. If you haven’t seen Sonny do his work on social media, you’re missing out. We sat down with Mike “Sonny” Kollet to chop it up a bit about his social media presence, golf topics, and banter about other odds n’ ends. Tune in and give this one a listen! It’s worth your time. fter a quick 7 minute intro with just us, we get to the heart of this episode by introducing Sonny as our guest on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. We open up the episode and dive into how he got started making the hilarious videos (Officiallysonny, IG) that have caught fire as of late. After getting burnt out by the golf industry, Sonny turns his attention to creating content full time.We get into some golf talk and chat about the ongoing battle between the PGA Tour and LIV. We continue down this path and end on a good subject: Night golf. With humor thrown in, we get into the game today and how it’s being taught to the youth golfers with an emphasis on speed. We talk about the content Sonny creates and how it’s 100% relatable to all golfers and the humor aspect that it brings. We turn the episode over to our standard tap-in segment where we ask Sonny 4 questions that demand his response. This episode is entertaining, relevant, and will keep you interested. Might be our first episode ever to do this. Tune in now, share, like, or not, but regardless, we hope you enjoy this one! And give Sonny a follow! Officiallysonny. Alex Fourie joins us on this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. You may have read about Alex in Golf Digest or have seen his story on Golf Channel. Today, we get a closer look at his story and his love for golf. We open up the episode and dive into his early life. After being introduced to golf at a young age, he realized the passion he had could not be stopped by anything, not even one arm. Alex continues to defy the odds in the game and has now been hired as the Head Pro at the 500-Club in North Carolina. Currently sitting as the #2 one-arm golfer in the country, it’s no surprise for him to fire rounds in the 60s. He plays competitively in the adaptive open led by the USGA and aims to eventually play in a PGA Tour event. We talk about the direction golf is headed and how it impacts people from all walks of life. This humbling, uplifting episode will leave you motivated to play more and appreciate more. We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment where Alex is asked a few questions that demand his response. Tune in, share, and listen to someone who plays golf a little differently than you. We love having guests on the show who stay chasin’ when it comes to their dreams. This is exactly our guest today as we sit down with Nathalie Sheehan and hear her story from growing up on the ice to now becoming one of golf’s premier instructors in 2025. We open up the episode and get right into the PGA Show which kicks off next week. Unfortunately, we can’t make it, but maybe we’ll set some time aside for 2026. She gives us a look inside her journey with golf and getting where she is today. We touch on the technology aspect of golf and how that helps in teaching. It’s apparent that her passion for teaching doesn’t stop with adults, but kids, too. We get into some tournament talk and what the nerves feel like in that round compared to a normal round with your friends. We chatted a bit about the short game and how it’s imperative for lowering your score, even if you’re a weekend golfer. We discuss managing emotions on the course and why visualization is key. We round out the episode with a cool caddy story from Augusta and her role with the golf channel. Any future broadcasting gigs??? We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment where we ask her four questions that demand her quick response..although one response wasn’t so quick. Tune in, share, and listen to a rising star! This week’s episode is just a start to the New Year. We have a lot of good talk revolving around golf and the holiday season. We debate when is too early in the year to take a golf trip or when is it too late? We just got back from a quick trip to the Sunshine State where we pegged it up for 3 days and got into some talks around that. This light hearted banter episode brings us back to the roots of this show and its fitting for the first drop of the year. We dive into the state of the PGA Tour and other talks surrounding golf and sports in general. We finish this off with a Birdie Count challenge that runs the full year. Can you keep track of yours?Tune in, sit back, and let us know what you think. We’ll be back sooner than later with more guests and more fun talks.
