Jonah thought he could run from God’s call, but he discovered that no one can outrun God’s sovereign rule or His endless mercy. Even in the storm, God was working, exposing Jonah’s sin, displaying His power, and showing His grace. In this message, we’ll see that the same God who commanded the wind and the waves still rules over every detail of our lives today. We discuss the truth that nobody can outrun God.
We live in a world full of choices, but when it comes to following God, obedience is not optional. In Jonah 1:1-6, we see what happens when God gives a clear command and His prophet decides to run the other way. God speaks clearly, and His people are called to respond. In this message, Pastor Joshua walks through the opening verses of Jonah, showing that God’s call was clear, Jonah’s disobedience was deliberate, and the consequences were real. Yet even in Jonah’s rebellion, we see a God who pursues, corrects, and shows mercy.
On October 19th, Associate Pastor Jon Graf shared an inspiring message called “Live on Mission.” It’s a reminder that our faith isn’t meant to stay inside the church walls. Every day, in every place God sends us, we’re called to represent Jesus and make a difference. Listen to the full message here.
We recently wrapped up our Fourfold Gospel series with one of the most hope-filled truths of all: Christ Our Coming King.Over the last few weeks, we’ve talked about Jesus as our Savior, Sanctifier, and Healer. Now we look ahead to the day He returns to make all things new.In this message, Pastor Joshua shares from God’s Word about the certainty of Christ’s return, what it means for us right now, and how it should shape the way we live today. The King is coming, and we want to be ready.
In week three of our series The Fourfold Gospel, Pastor Joshua Sanders preaches on Christ Our Healer.Jesus not only carried our sin to the cross but also our sickness and brokenness. Through Him, we find true healing and wholeness in every part of our lives.Whether you’re walking through sickness, praying for someone who is hurting, or simply needing a reminder that God still heals, this message will point you to the unchanging power and compassion of Christ.
A lot of Christians know they’re forgiven, but still feel stuck living in defeat. Jesus doesn’t just save us from sin’s penalty. He also sanctifies us by His truth. He cleanses us, fills us with His Spirit, and gives us the power to live fully for God.In this message from John 17:17–19, we dig into what sanctification really is, what it isn’t, and how Christ Himself is the One who sets us apart, equips us for His mission, and invites us into the deeper life.Sanctification isn’t about trying harder or cleaning yourself up. It’s about daily dependence on Christ, walking in the Spirit, and living fully surrendered to Him.This is week two of our Fourfold Gospel series, where we’re taking a closer look at who Jesus is and what that means for our lives today.
This week we launched our new series, The Fourfold Gospel, the heartbeat of our C&MA family. We began with the foundation: Christ Our Savior. In Acts 4:12 we read that salvation is found in no one else. Only Jesus can forgive sin, give new life, and secure our eternity with God. In this message we look at why He alone is the Savior, what He saves us from, and what kind of life He saves us for.If you’ve ever wondered where real hope and freedom are found, this message points to the answer: Jesus Christ.
If we are going to be all in for Jesus, we must be a generous people. In this final message from our "All In" series, Pastor Joshua Sanders unpacks Luke 6:38 and calls us to live open-handed lives, generous with our talents and generous with our treasures.True generosity is not about what God wants from us, but what He wants for us. When we give, serve, and live open-handed, we reflect the heart of Christ who gave everything for us.
This Sunday was a historic milestone at Christ Community Church as we officially joined the Christian & Missionary Alliance! We were honored to have our Assistant District Superintendent, Kurt Sovine, with us to preach a powerful message from 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
What does it really mean to be all in for Jesus? This week at Christ Community Church, Pastor Joshua Sanders continues our series All In with a message from Matthew 6:33 about setting our priorities in order. We often say God is first, but our calendars, habits, and choices tell a different story. In this sermon, we walk through seven Kingdom priorities that show us how to truly put God first in our daily lives. If we are going to be all in for Jesus, God must be first, and our priorities must be in order.
This week we began a brand new series called All In.In Colossians 3:1-10, the Apostle Paul calls us to put sin to death. Not to manage it, not to excuse it, but to kill it. If we are going to be all in for Jesus, we cannot still be all in with sin.In this message, we see what it means to set our hearts and minds on things above, to put off the old self, and to walk in the new life Christ has given us. Holy living is not optional for the believer. It is essential if we are going to shine as children of light and live on mission together as the Church.
After surviving a brutal storm and shipwreck, Paul found himself on the island of Malta, a place he never planned to be. But what looked like a detour turned out to be a divine assignment. This message walks through Acts 28:1–10 and shows how Paul’s faithfulness in an unexpected place led to healing, provision, and long-term Gospel impact. This sermon challenges us to consider that the delay or disruption in our own lives may not be a mistake, but part of God’s plan to use us right where we are.
What do you hold onto when everything around you is falling apart? In this message from Acts 27:21–44, we look at the Apostle Paul caught in the middle of a raging storm. The ship is breaking apart, fear is rising, and everyone is losing hope. But Paul stands firm, not because of the situation, but because of the Word of God.If you’ve ever felt like life was spinning out of control, this message is for you. Discover how to hold fast to what is true when everything else feels uncertain.
In this message, we look at Acts 27:1-20. This was a moment in Paul’s journey to Rome where people chose to ignore godly wisdom and listen to the wrong voices. It looked like the right decision at first. The wind was calm. The path seemed clear. But it led them straight into a storm.Sometimes we end up in hard places because we followed the wrong voices. This passage reminds us how important it is to slow down, listen for God’s voice, and surround ourselves with people who will point us back to Him.
In Acts 26:12 to 32, Paul shares his story in front of King Agrippa and gets told he's out of his mind. But instead of backing down, Paul keeps pointing to Jesus. This message is all about what it looks like to be faithful, even when the world doesn’t understand. If following Jesus makes us seem a little crazy, then so be it.We’re asking the question: Are we willing to be all in for Christ, no matter how it looks to others?
In this sermon from Acts 26:1–11, we look at the early part of Paul’s story before he encountered Jesus. Paul was known, respected, and deeply religious, but he was resisting the truth about who Jesus really is.Paul didn’t need a new set of rules. He needed a Savior. And the same Jesus Paul resisted is the one who rescued him and rewrote his story. This message challenges us to ask a hard but honest question: Are we resisting Jesus? Watch and be encouraged by the power of the Gospel to change any heart and rewrite anyone's story.
In Acts 25, Paul had every reason to feel stuck. He was faithful. Obedient. Surrendered. And yet, he remained in custody for over two years, waiting on justice that never seemed to come. From the outside, it looked like nothing was happening. But God was working. In this message, we see that what feels like wasted time to us may actually be God’s perfect timing. When our lives are surrendered to Him, no season is pointless. No delay is meaningless. God never wastes surrendered time.Whether you're in a waiting season, a hard season, or a season that feels slow and fruitless, this sermon is for you.
In Acts 24:22–27, Paul stood before Governor Felix and clearly shared the Gospel. Felix was convicted. He trembled. And yet… he walked away. Why? Because it wasn’t convenient. This passage challenges us with a truth that hits close to home: Delayed obedience isn’t obedience. It’s disobedience dressed up in good intentions. We often wait for the "right time" to surrender, to confess, to follow through, but that convenient moment rarely comes. In this message, we explore what it means to obey Jesus even when it’s inconvenient, and why obedience is always worth it, even when it costs us something. Don’t put off what God is calling you to do.Obedience to Jesus is never convenient, but it’s always worth it.
In this sermon, we walk through Acts 24:1-21, where Paul stood trial and faced intense pressure to back down. The accusations were piling up. The crowd was against him. The easy road would have been to soften his message and play it safe. But Paul didn’t flinch. He stood firm. He held the line. He refused to compromise his faith. That’s the challenge we face too. Most of us won’t be dragged into a courtroom, but we’ll all have moments where it feels easier to stay quiet than to stay faithful. Whether that be at work, online, or around the people we love.Acts 24 gives us a powerful picture of what it looks like to live a life of no compromise. A life that stays rooted in the truth, no matter the cost. Let this message challenge and encourage you to live with that same kind of boldness for the sake of the Gospel.
In this message, we walk through Acts 23:12–35 and see God’s sovereign hand working behind the scenes to protect and position Paul for what’s next. From an unnamed nephew overhearing a deadly plot, to a Roman commander mobilizing nearly 500 soldiers, this passage reminds us that even when the enemy is scheming, God is still in control.God’s sovereignty isn’t always loud or flashy. Sometimes it shows up in unexpected people, unlikely places, and quiet moments. But make no mistake, He is always working.Whether you’re in a season of uncertainty, waiting, or opposition, this passage reminds us that in Christ, we are never outside the reach of His care or the scope of His plan.
