The answers are chilling, as the Netflix documentary TITAN: THE OCEANGATE SUBMERSIBLE DISASTER makes clear. A stunning abuse of wealth and power and one spoiled billionaire's desire to be a "big swinging" you know what conspired to send five people to a dark and watery grave.  But the real crime on display is the same brand of disdain and disregard for sound scientific principles that's currently crippling parts of our federal government.

As summer swelters, your hosts Christopher and Eric are determined to get in their last bit of beach time — inside in the frosty air conditioning watching bad things happen to those who spend too much time on the beach. Welcome to the first episode of Last Resorts Month, in which a new travel-themed true crime series called FATAL DESTINATION takes us south of the border for some bad real estate dealings and some bad romance. In episode 1, entitled "Baja Noir", we follow an affluent Houstonian as he heads to Rosarito Beach to pick up the keys to his sunny new condo. Little does he know the other man named on the deed has him scheduled for a darker date.

It's rare that one finds a documentary in which all the interview subjects direct the same level of venom and disdain at the same target with quite this much elegance and skill, but the BBC special EDWARD VIII: TRAITOR KING is one of them, and Christopher and Eric delight in every barbed sentence.
