After some technical difficulties that delayed this episode until after game 1 vs NYK, the season preview is finally here! It was a wild off-season with major shake ups to the roster/staff, mourning the loss of some old friends and welcoming in some new ones. Let's see how Chuddy feels about the future of the team and what to expect going forward.
Celtics pull out gritty 108-104 win over Knicks in season opener. Chuddy and Doug Outs give their immediate takeaways and breakdown.
WARNING: PODCAST RECORDED PRIOR TO THE MARCUS NEWS... Miami does not believe in miracles, crushing the Celtics hope of a historic 0-3 comeback to make the finals. Moving on, it's time for the off season with the first stop the draft, or so we thought. Kristaps is coming to Boston! But the terms have changed since we recorded... We'll have updated thoughts on the next pod.
We finally wrapped up an all too familiar seven game grind that we've come to expect from the Celtics in the playoffs. Fortunately, we came out on the winning side thanks to a historic performance by Tatum. Now on to another all too familiar foe that tends to take us deep... Let's hope this one plays out a little differently than the last few years.
The 2022-23 NBA regular season is officially behind us. Chuddy discusses the ups, the downs, the unsung heros, who we want round 1 and much more.
Blown leads in three straight loses to Brooklyn, the Knicks and Cleveland. Are the Celtics in a rut or is there a greater fundamental flaw rearing it's head? Let's discuss...
The trade deadline is in the rearview, Tatum and Brown are heading to Utah along with HEAD COACH Joe Mazzulla. The hospital Celtics have kept things rolling but the team hopes to be rested and healthy coming out of the other side of the All Star Break.
Chuddy is back! The first episode of the Celtics 2022-2023 season is finally here and there was no shortage of topics to get in to. We take Chuddy's temperature on the C's performance so far this season, grades Joey Mazz in his first year as the "interim" head coach, previews the trade deadline (less than 48 hours away), tells us what (if anything) the C's should do and a lot more. It's an action packed episode, it feels good to be back!
It was a fun playoff run, but ultimately the Celtics came up two wins short of an NBA title. It didn’t end well, but there are many reasons to be thankful for the season they had and plenty of silver linings. Chuddy tells us what went right, what went wrong and what to look forward to in this 2021-22 season finale of Chuddy’s Corner.
The Celtics struggles continue. Turnovers and offensive inconsistency being the main culprit, as they tend to be when the C's lose games. Are they running out of gas? Can they pull it together at home and extend the series, or does GS raise the trophy on the parquet? Let's ask Chuddy.
It wasn’t pretty, but the Celtics are officially Eastern Conference champions. It was a hard fought, gritty, messy series as you would expect from these two teams who were fighting for their lives. Let’s reflect and then move on to the next opponent, the Golden State Warriors.
It was an unbelievable series. The Celtics closing out the series after that game 5 collapse was a huge accomplishment that shouldn’t go overlooked. Chuddy reflects on the Bucks series then moves on to the next challenge, the Miami Heat in the ECF.
The Celtics opened the door for the Bucks to come back, and the Bucks showed us all what they learned from their title run. It was a gross turn of events in the last 6 minutes of the game, the Celtics appeared to revert back to their 2021 ways. They coughed up the game, but did they also cough up the series?
The Celtics didn’t look like they were ready for the physical defense of the Bucks. We looked overmatched for the first time in months. It’s only one game though. Let’s see what kind of adjustments Ime has in store and ask Chuddy for his thoughts in the meantime.
Brooklyn is officially in the rearview. It was about as fun and competitive as 4 game sweeps get. Let's take a few minutes to reflect then move on to the next opponent. The Milwaukee Bucks come to town Sunday to kick of round 2 for the Celtics. This will be a very different challenge for the C's and should be a chess match between two good coaches. How does Chuddy see this one playing out?
No adjustments needed for the Celtics, no adjustments made by the Nets, the same outcome… It’s getting a bit repetitive, but there really isn’t much more to say about the Celtics suffocating defense and the confidence this team is playing with. Will the brooms come out on Monday?
Another incredible game with the same result... a gutsy, resilient win for the Celtics. There wasn't a buzzer beater this time, but just as much drama and a wide range of emotions. What went right, what went wrong, and what's in store for Game 3? Let's ask Chuddy.
Wow. And that was just Game 1... What way to start the series! It was a roller coast of emotions as you would expect from the Celtics, but they showed resiliency and pulled it out in the last seconds. You have to feel good about the win, but has your confidence level wavered at all regarding the series?
The regular season is officially in the rearview, now the real work begins. The Celtics decided to finish strong and secure home court through the ECSF instead of losing in an attempt to avoid Brooklyn in Round 1. But was it the right decision…?
The Celtics continue to win, even without Timelord. It’s looking like a strong finish to the season with playoff seeding still very much up in the air. There are two games remaining, will the Celtics start to rest or will they keep rolling?
