Though the Church is meant to embody unity in Christ, it has housed racial division for much of its history. Conversations about race are quickly shut down in the name of preserving comfort or a superficial sense of unity. It seems Black Christians, in particular, are frequently accused of “idolizing their race” whenever they speak about their racialized experiences. But does this kind of avoidance truly promote unity—or does it cause deeper harm? What place does race, ethnicity and culture have in the Kingdom of God? Should we ever mention them? If so, how?

We serve a God that isn't always clear with us. We pray for clarity and signs of confirmation. Sometimes we get it. Other times it seems like we are left hanging. What do we do then? Do we be still and wait for more clarity? For how long? Do we even need more clarity? Are we being careful or are we being cowards? Let's talk about it.

It's one of those questions you've probably asked in your head but never out loud. "Why should God get the credit if I worked hard and earned it myself?". In this episode I want to help navigate us through answering this question with a story out of Daniel 4 surrounding King Nebuchadnezzar.

Spiritual growth isn't easy to come by, and is a lot harder to maintain – especially after you fall short in an area you thought you overcame. It's easy for us to get discouraged and quit on God after we experience dips in our spiritual growth journey, but I hope this episode can keep you encouraged and motivated to get back up and go harder!

From MAGA culture to church scandals, the reputation of the Church is in the gutter and the image of Christianity in America is in crisis. Instead of making disciples, it seems the American Church has made more apostates than ever.
In this episode, I talk about what it really means to represent Christ well in a time when faith is often confused with politics, hate, and hypocrisy. Instead of staying silent, Believers who see the issue have a responsibility to show the world who Jesus really is—through our love, our compassion, and how we treat others.
This is a call to action to every believer. Be louder than them!

In today’s episode, Emmanuel breaks down why staying consistent with God is so difficult—and how it relates to our sinful nature and the shame we carry. More importantly, he shares how to break the cycle of inconsistency by shifting your mindset: Intimacy > Routine.
You’ll learn:
Why shame is one of the biggest threats to your spiritual growth
How to stop expecting perfection and start pursuing God more honestly
Practical tips for reconnecting with God and making Him a real part of your everyday life
Consistency with God doesn’t start with trying harder—it starts with needing Him more. Let’s talk about it.

Being a Christian can be challenging when personal ambitions conflict with serving God. Sometimes our ambition aligns with God's will, promoting true spiritual growth, while other times it leads us astray. Let's explore how to discern between godly ambition and selfish ambition.

Have you ever been frustrated with God for not giving you what you feel like you deserve? You've been good all week, or year. You've been serving faithfully and enduring hardship, but your breakthrough hasn't come and your bank account is empty. In this episode of Churchboy Confessions, I ask the hard question: What does it mean to be the 'Christian choice' in politics? No, this isn't a political podcast show. However, as Christian nationalism seems to gain momentum in America, we believers need to have a talk about the difference between alt-right, conservative nonsense and true Christianity.
Today, spiritual manipulation, political pandering, and misplaced endorsements are corrupting the Church and damaging our witness — especially among young Christians.
If you're wrestling with how to navigate faith in a polarized political climate, this conversation will challenge you to rethink what it truly means to follow Jesus over any political agenda.

Many men today feel like they’re not enough—like their worth is tied to success, money, or how much they can provide. And when we aren't winning in one of these areas we begin to feel like we're worthless.
In this sermon, we dive into what the Bible actually says about your identity, worth, and manhood. Whether you’re feeling lost, unmotivated, or just tired of the pressure to "have it all together," this message will remind you that God called you valuable long before you were “useful.”
While this episode is centered around men, this message if for everyone.

"Man plans and God laughs." It's a popular saying to explain those moments in life when God completely shakes things up, or allows them to fall apart. In this episode of the pod, my 10-month hiatus comes to an end with a story of how I got laid off last April, my call to full-time ministry, and the journey of humility I've had to walk with God ever since. What do you do when God allows a shake up in your life? How do you respond when His call challenges your reputation in the eyes of others?

Let's face it, we've all fell down the rabbit hole of an end time conspiracy at some point in our lives by now. Or maybe instead of a conspiracy, we sat through the a false teacher or prophet preaching a whole lotta of anti-biblical nonsense. Realistically, we will never be able to escape with the frenzy of conspiracies, false prophecies and heresies that drop every week on the internet. Nevertheless, it's important that we not be deceived, and the Word of God is here to guide us through all the lies and deception.

Most conversations surrounding the gospel talk about the physical pain, suffering and death that Christ experienced on our behalf. Today I want to talk about something else Jesus endured for our sakes, and that's humiliation. Some people think God is egotistical, but when we really take time to consider what it meant for the Creator to humble Himself and suffer at the hands of His own creation, the "egotistical" label simply doesn't stick. Let's unpack.

Danielle Clayton (Editor-in-Chief), Dena Williams (Live Events Director) and Maddy Owusu (Social Engagement Director) open up about their adolescent years as Believers, their ideas on purpose, marriage, and desirability politics.

The conversation around our individual purposes can be an exciting one or anxious one depending on who you ask. I've noticed a large amount of anxiety our generation has when it comes to this. We are in a point in our lives where we want to know our purpose, but it seems like God doesn't want to give us a clear answer to what that is. How do we continue to navigate our day-to-day, uneventful, unfulfilling lives until He answers us?
