Circus Browns Not a Side Show

I know you're probably wondering what the heck does Ex.Five.Two means, right? Well you could google it and spend hours sifting through the internets conpiracy sites or you could just sit down and relax and listen to this weeks beautiful show. DO IT! This band (Ex.Five.Two) is so damn good!

Another Tuesday means another new episode of Circus Brown's Not a Side Show! This ep. includes a fine Utah death metal band Skull Fuck, but of course I had to change the name of the band to protect the innocent, so Skull Fun, Skull Fresh, Skull Focaccia or maybe Skull Floss is what we used. Enjoy!

I bet you're wondering how I got about saying 'fuck' on the radio? Well I used every F-word I could but my favorite was probably Focaccia the Informer. Pretty awesome stuff here folks, you're not going to hear this on any other radio station, so get after it.

Back in March of 2011 Beard of Solitude came down to the old KRCL studio and played live. On this episode in March of 2024 Beard of Solitude is back, but this time it's personal. Their drums got stolen so they had to play buckets. Their bass player sliced the heck out of his hand at work so they had to lose the bass and supliment it with bells & whistles. Their lead singer is Ryan Jensen so he had to Ryan Jensen it up. Despite the entire world working against them they were able to put on a show, a really, really weird show. Happy April Fools day!

This fine night Sonya Castillo stopped by with Sons of Carlisle as her backing band, and then we also had some Sons of Carlisle, two bands in one show! How about that! Please clap.

On Groundhog or is it Groundhog's Day 2024 Coyote Hoods came down to the KRCL studio to put on a nice performance. I really appreciate Terrence, Scott, and Dave finally making it down to play their Coyote Hoods tunes. You see, 17 year prior to this performance I asked Terrence if Coyote Hoods could come down to the old KRCL building and play and he said 'Of course'. Really stoked to have them on. Bill Frost bumped up the volume on this but they're a very quiet and sultry band so you might want to crank it up even more, ok that's great. Look at this, 2 weeks with podcasts in a row!

I'm so far behind on podcasts, but I'm clawing my way back into the game with a little help from a young and up-and-coming podcast producer Bill Frost.  How does weekly pod drops sound? It could happen!  So this pod is from January of 2024 when our special guest was Demitri Rallis from the band Frogleg out of Minnesota, you should give them a listen. Demitri was in town to play a party during Sundance and he dropped some really choice tunes. Enjoy!

Mustard Slim came down from Logan, Utah to play on KRCL, unbelievably good. This is the 20th band that's played on the show this year, We still have a couple more coming on before 2024, enjoy!

October 6th of the 2023 year we had Jacob Barrett and his band come down to KRCL and show us what they got. Jacob played previously with the band Dolï in August. Well, he's back to show us what else he can do, check this performance out!

The last time Jacob played on Not a Side Show was October of 2017. He's just a one-man-band but don't let that fool you, he does it all and this show really blew my mind. Check it out!

August 25th of the summer of '23 I had my first blues band ever playing on my show. Now... I really don't know why they call it 'The Blues' because this band made me so happy. Folk please download or stream this awesome performance by Union Blues... smash that like and subscribe button.

August 18th of the year 2023 Doli came to the studio for a live performance. Their bass player couldn't make it so they played as a duo just Alex and Jacob normally on drums playing guitar and it was incredible. Seriously this is such a treat to have experienced, I love being a volunteer for KRCL.
