The host talks you through cleaning each area of your home, while offering her perspective on how to get through this “quarantine” period. She covers timely topics including; looking presentable during quarantine, using disinfectants more, and creating a new chore list for your kids. She also goes on a rant about her furniture delivery, which was already delayed before businesses started closing. Although she takes the virus seriously and practices hand washing and moderate social distancing, she gets a little controversial by voicing her concerns about the economy and local businesses. She also acknowledges that it can be challenging to focus on projects with the whole family at home a lot more. Hopefully, this recording finds you well during this Covid 19 crisis. We are all in this together, and none of us has all the answers. No judgment here if your opinions differ on this matter. The host, Raani, talks you through cleaning your home, and she is pretty thorough. This is an extra long episode for those who want to deep clean their house and have requested a longer episode. Future episodes will probably be only one hour long or less, but I’m thinking people can double up on those or re-listen to this longer one as needed. At one point in this episode, Raani recounts the time she hired a cleaning service to do a deep clean. Listen to find out why she may never do it again. Don’t forget to follow this show on Facebook! I had to take a break and listen to the slob comes clean for a few weeks and I think I finally have my house *nearly* ready to actually keep up with you! I was so far behind with everything before that I would listen to your whole podcast and not even finish the dishes. :-(. And that's the ones that are an hour long! I really like listening to you while I clean and I'm learning a lot. My parents didn't teach me how to clean my house, there are a lot of things I just don't know. It's not instinctive for me. Listening to you keeps me on track so much. It shows me how important some of the tasks are. I honestly am the type of person that doesn't think to check the bathroom trash daily. You've shown me how good it feels to do this stuff daily, and how actually easy it is when you do it every day. I'm a stay at home mom of 6 and 1 year old daughters, and I have a baby boy coming in January. This is exactly what I needed to get into a good routine before baby comes. Thank you!!!!!!

Hi Lainey! Thanks so much for commenting. I’m glad you like the podcast. Yeah, you have a big house. Mine is 1800 sq feet, and I try to spend about an hour and a half, so that sounds about right. Thanks for listening!

If anyone wonders why the episode numbers in the titles are disappearing, it’s because of some new guidelines for podcasts. I know the numbers made it convenient, but I have to follow these new rules in order to keep my podcast available on as many apps as possible.

This is still a favorite podcast for me. Just wondering if we really need to be that concerned if people are thinking we scrambled to clean. I can just about guarantee most people aren't giving it a second thought. It was mentioned several times and I hope you really aren't that worried about something like that. Love the show as always.

I love the talk throughs that are about a half hour long. That's usually about how much time I have in the morning 30-40 minutes. It gets me moving and things looking pretty good. If I have longer on occasion an hour long is nice but for some reason I dislike stopping a podcast when I run out of time but the podcast isn't finished. Why can't my OCD be used for good and not just be annoying? Thanks Rani!
