Description
Deep house and melodic techno from Cler Lever.
In 2007, Cler was the worthy winner of Babycream's DJ competition following which she secured the opening set at Creamfields that year, warming up for Mark Ronson and becoming the first female DJ in history to play on the main stage. As well as playing at some of the best nights in the county alongside the likes of Frank Lorber, Sebo K and Felix Da Housecat Cler started her own night Rhumba, bringing some of the best DJs and producers to Liverpool for the first time including Patrice Baumel, Ben Klock, Phil Kieran and Super Flu.
“CREAM OF THE CROP Creamfields 2007 saw its first female DJ play the mainstage in the form of spinmeister Cler Lever. Martin Vovk caught up with her at the festival, and we give the 4Talent verdict on Creamfields '07 'Opening the stage this year, though, is Cler Lever, whose early set of chilled progressive house serves as a reminder of the festival's origins as well indicating its commitment to new talent.” Channel 4 Talent
"The standard of the competition this year was outstanding," said panellist Andy Mac. "All six finalists were mindblowingly good. Cler is a deserved winner, especially in light of such strong competition. Her confidence shone through in the final, and rocking the dance floor obviously comes naturally to her." Andy Mac, Cream
