Reverse
This week Charlie and I Return to Neverland in the Peter Pan sequel that impressed us alot more than we were expecting it to. With a mix of comedy, action, drama, and a solid score this sequel has everything your looking for and more. It's pretty rare when the sequel is better than the original but this is definitely one of those cases.
Well we knew it was bound to happen eventually. We're surprised it took 11 episodes to get to our first stinker of the season. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's beginning is everything you're hoping a franchise doesn't turn into. Lackluster music, unimaginative villains, weak plots. While this is not the worst movie we've seen, and probably not even the worst we'll come across this season, this movie should've remained under the sea.
Have you ever wanted to watch The Little Mermaid in reverse?Well you're in luck because that's exactly what this sequel is. In The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea we meet Melody, Ariel's daughter who just want's to explore the sea. While this movie does provide some underwhelming follow-ups it's far from the worst thing we've seen.
This week Charlie and I return to Pride Rock to continue the story of The Lion King. While this isn't necessarily a bad movie it's not really that great either, It mainly leaves us with a lot of questions and alot more to be desired out of it.
This week Charlie and I take a trip to England to follow up on the story of Pocahontas. Yet again she's having trouble picking between two guys again and she doesn't know where she wants to go in life. This may be another case where we came in expecting the worst and got something average so it seems alot better than it actually is, but so far nothing horrendous yet.
We're back with another Winnie the Pooh movie, however this time it's a bit different because it's actually The Tigger Movie. However this episode still includes just as much chaos if not more as all of our Winnie the Pooh episodes. We go off the rails as usual discussing who the villains are, (spoiler alert, according to Charlie it's everyone) We continue to argue about the illiteracy of the group, and discuss who is actually real or not.
This week Charlie and I return to the 100 acre woods yet again for another exciting adventure with Winnie the Pooh and friend's in Pooh's Grand Adventure. More characters become villain's but they also get redemption arcs. This movie continues to bring the same wholesome energy we expect from Winnie the Pooh, and continues to bring out the chaotic energy we have when talking about it.
We're returning to Agrabah one last time in the final installment in the Aladdin series, Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Robin Willams is finally back to return to his role as Genie, and it's a really good thing because without him this movie would've had nothing going for it. With impressions, references and jokes galore the comedic aspect of this movie is just enough to make this movie watchable.
This week we take a trip back to Agrabah and continue the story of Aladdin in The Return of Jafar. I'm not sure if it's because we're coming in with low expectations or these movies are just not that bad but so far another solid production from DisneyToons Studios. Now clearly this movie is not on the same level as the original but there's still alot of things to love about this movie.
After a longer than expected break we are finally back with our new season. Disneytoons Studios. Originally slated for a tv series that was never sold Belle's Magical World is a compilation of three episodes that occur during the events of the original Beauty and the Beast movie. While it might not be the most polished piece we've seen it's definitely still no Home on the Range.
We're doing things a bit differently by going into a short mid season break by kicking off the beginning of a new season. We'll be getting into all of the straight to home video releases and sequels of DisneyToon Studios. Kicking things off and wrapping up the holiday season is Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. While this movie is far from perfect it's actually alot of fun and had the potential to be so much more. With a great villain, fun new songs, and alot of the charm of the original film this is definitely a much better start to this season than expected.
Before we jump on in to season 4 we giving you this Super Bowl edition Essentials pick, Remember the Titans. This is a movie that will go down as one of the best sports movies and for good reasons. It's an emotional journey that really knows how to strike a chord.
S03 Ep41 Noelle

We're a little late as per usual but do you guy's expect anything less at this point? This week we take a look at one of the first Disney Plus original films, Noelle. Even though this is just a rehashed version of many other Christmas classics, it still finds a way to be fun and festive. It's definitely not going to win any awards but it still has what you need to enjoy some of the holiday spirit.
S03 Ep40 A Christmas Carol

S03 Ep40 A Christmas Carol

Perhaps on of the most retold stories of all time, with 3 tellings alone from Disney we visit the story of A Christmas Carol. Jim carry lends his many voices to this chilling adaptation of this beloved classic. With such a great story already setup for them it doesn't take much for Disney to create another standout version of this tale.
S03 Ep39 Newsies

S03 Ep39 Newsies

It's been a hot minute since we've covered a musical but we're finally back to good old classic Disney with Newsies. While this movie does leave a lot to be desired still, it's far from the worst movie we've seen. With the king of Disney Music behind the soundtrack Allan Menken manages to keep our attention with some great music accompanied by some fun dance numbers.
This week we travel the globe and get into all kinds of shenanigan's in Around the World in 80 Days. A movie that neither of us has seen before turned into yet another pleasant surprise. With a great mix of action and comedy, plus Jackie Chan, what's there not to love? As usual we struggle to stay on course and babble on way to long and many debates ensue yet again.
What better way to close out the Halloween season than with a movie based on one of the Disney parks biggest attractions. The Haunted Mansion. Even though this movie is still fun, it comes with more than it's fair share of issues. Alot of things just don't make sense, and us sitting here trying to work them out didn't help any either, which may have led to our first ever live score change.
S03 Ep36 Hocus Pocus 2

S03 Ep36 Hocus Pocus 2

2024-10-3001:35:03

We're continuing our Halloween journey with the sequel that took almost 30 years to come out, Hocus Pocus 2. With one of the longest gaps between movies was this movie really worth the wait? The movie relies heavily on the nostalgia factor but still manages to bring a fun new story to the franchise.
S03 Ep35 Hocus Pocus

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! We may be a bit later but it's better than never. This week we're kicking off our spooky season by unintentionally continuing the talk about witches who come back from the past in Hocus Pocus. This beloved Halloween classic still holds up and even though it's Charlie's first time watching, still manages to produce that nostalgic charm that we all love so much.
With a new spin on an old tale The Sorcerer's Apprentice tells the story of an ordinary person being picked as the chosen one to inherit Merlin's powers. Although this movie has it's good and bad moments it still manages to keep you entertained even if there is alot of questionable moments that lead to more classic debates for the show.
