Bill Maher sits down with Smashing Pumpkins icon Billy Corgan for his second visit to Club Random, diving into free speech, political division, and the rise of AI in music and entertainment. Billy riffs on reaching his own version of Valhalla but finding real joy in unconditional love, shares stories of bringing his kids on stage to dance during shows, and dishes on Dark L.A., song titles that stick, and Taylor Swift’s cultural takeover. Plus: the truths (and tall tales) of castles, islands, and the myths of rock & roll fame. Bill kicks back with Sopranos star Drea de Matteo for an unfiltered hang that runs from Italian pride to behind-the-scenes lore – casting authenticity and on-set memories. Drea opens up about career turbulence, agency fallout, and her OnlyFans pivot. They also trade takes on Catholic school, politics, spirituality, AI’s impact on work, art vs. ideology in entertainment, and the tough math of streaming, strikes, and residuals. They even lament vanishing bees – earning Bill the nickname “Snow White” – before one last reveal: his latest hotel alias. Bill sits down with Woody Allen for a wide-ranging conversation on comedy, film, and everything in between. They swap stories from the comedy-club era and dig into Woody’s craft – his “do less” rule, why he hates rehearsal, and what it’s like to direct once you’ve aged out of a role (including casting others to play the parts you once did). Woody weighs in on classic cinema (Streetcar devotion, Godfather II praise, Casablanca indifference), Bob Hope’s lasting imprint, and therapy that “helped a little,” while Bill quizzes him on newer movies (yes, even Twilight). They cover aging, AI and immortality, the Knicks, and the contrast between Manhattan gloom and sunshine, with Woody teasing his new novel What’s with Baum, out in September. This week Bill finally meets the genie of his boyhood dreams – and yes, he even brought the bottle. Barbara Eden drops by for a warm, witty time capsule only a true showbiz legend can deliver: memories of Elvis Presley, the 60th anniversary of I Dream of Jeannie, belly-button “censorship” and why the bottle was never allowed in the bedroom. Bill gives Barbara an OnlyFans crash course she never asked for, and Barbara tells Vegas war stories with George Burns and Shecky Greene, including the wildest “show must go on” tale you’ve ever heard. It’s a conversation as magical as Jeannie herself. From AI doomsday paranoia to Arnold’s grandpa art projects, Bill and Chris cover it all – California taxes, broken-thermostat politics, why movies predict the future, and how Pratt went from Parks and Rec’s lovable goof to full-fledged leading man. Along the way: quantum qubits, AI girlfriends, and the wild story of his door-to-door salesman days. Basically, it’s part bar chat, part TED Talk, part roast – served neat with a splash of peaty Scotch. In this episode of Club Random, Grammy-winning rock star Rick Springfield gets raw about fame, depression, and why getting older might be the best gig yet. He and Bill swap stories about tripping on psychedelics, battling bad music critics, discovering Beatles lyrics by hand, and wild run-ins with Elvis and The Bee Gees. They riff on everything from concert bathroom line etiquette to AI sex – all while passionately debating the eternal question: Lennon or McCartney? It’s rock star therapy with a twist… and let’s just say, Jessie’s girl really missed out. Bill Maher and YouTube star Brian Tyler Cohen dive into the chaos of modern politics in a freewheeling conversation covering everything from wrestling and weed to identity politics and the Iran deal. They debate whether Democrats are too focused on checking boxes to win elections, break down Trump’s psychological warfare, and label one rising Democratic star “a walking campaign ad for Republicans." Stick around for a wild analogy that somehow combines wrestling, lactose intolerance, and socialism. In the latest Club Random, Bill Maher goes toe-to-toe with actor-activist John Leguizamo in a rapid-fire conversation that jumps from the Knicks firing Tom Thibodeau to the eternal New York vs. L.A. debate. They dive into Latino representation in Hollywood and Leguizamo’s MSNBC docuseries "Leguizamo Does America," while trading war stories about award-show politics, micro-dosing, roach-infested apartments, the grind of memorizing lines, and the not-so-glamorous reality of scrubbing improv-theater toilets just to get stage time. Bill and Jillian settle in for a free-wheeling chat that drifts from lighthearted ribbing to debates about public health, politics, and pop culture. One minute they’re laughing about early-morning phone alerts or swapping travel stories; the next, they’re chewing over whether either political party still speaks to the middle. On this episode Bill hangs out with author-podcaster Lewis Howes for a free-wheeling chat about life choices and staying sane. They swap stories on moving to L.A., falling in (and out of) love, and how childhood baggage can push you toward self-improvement—or self-destruction. Bill explains why he’s happily child-free and “married to the job,” while Lewis talks about healing old trauma without drugs or alcohol. They poke at big questions—meds vs. mind-body fixes, meat vs. veggies, woke kids vs. baffled parents—and laugh over a possible 98-year-old tortoise adoption, and Bill’s headline-grabbing dinner with Trump. Mostly, it’s two guys comparing notes on how to stay curious, healthy-ish, and kind of normal in a crazy world. Bill, would you be willing to share the name of the one song you said made you cry? (I understand you may prefer to keep that private.) Thank you for such a fantastic interview of Billy Joel. Every minute of it was fascinating!

This was my favorite interview.I love you Bill, and I love you Billy. This has always been my dream interview for sure. So much respect for both of these men. I'm a child of the late seventies, and I grew up listening to Billy, and watching Bill become his own person, and grow, is a comedian/expert interviewer/journalist over the past thirty five- forty years

I wish she would stop interviewing this guy. David Mehmet is one of the most blow-hearted arrogant human beings on the planet and the funny thing is all he knows how to do is right but he's actually not a bright guy. every time I listen to him he just comes off as a blowhard who basically reads A Blog and thinks he knows more than the blog and then the blog doesn't know anything so

I'm a long time actual journalist one of the dying breed and for you to bring this clown on the show to talk about journalism is the biggest farce of all time. this guy is the last thing from a journalist and that's saying something that you got conservative media doing just as bad

A George Bernard Shaw reference, now I know I'm smart, or I just remember Shaw from that Monty Python sketch featuring Oscar Wilde, George McNeill Whistler and Shaw trying to take and pass around credit for praising and insulting the King who has to go back up the palace.
