It could be an estranged child who they have limited or no contact with, or a former close friendship that has dissolved. This weekend I will be take a deeper look into the 7th beatitude, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God."
This weekend I will be teaching on Matthew 5:8, "God blesses those whose hearts are pure... for they will see God." We will look at the blessings of Integrity... and six possible ways to develop it in our lives.

Who Do You Depend On?

Who Do You Depend On?

2019-10-0644:10

Bless you! Have you ever thought, what in the world does that mean? What's a blessing and how do you define it? Would we even know a blessing if it slapped us in the face? The word "bless" in the bible is the Greek word "Makarios" which means... happy. To have a blessing is to have happiness in your life. In Jesus' mic-dropping sermon, the Sermon on the Mount Jesus begins by giving us 8 ways to be blessed by God. Jesus wants us to be happy, but the truth is that most of us aren't! As we read through scripture, the problem isn't with God, it's with us. If we're going to be blessed by God, then we have to live a life that is bless-able. Come join us for "When Jesus Dropped The Mic" as we learn 8 conditions for receiving God's blessings in our lives.
Last weekend I closed out the "Radical" series by talking about how to be radically free. This week, Pam McKinney, (I call her Pammy Mack) will be taking that even deeper. She will be using the story of Philemon to make a powerful point for forgiveness and how it brings freedom.

Sadly though, so many people I talk to feel stuck in life... trapped... they feel bound up by their thoughts, their worries, their fears, their anxieties. They don't realize that Christ has set us free. That's why this weekend at Coast, I am finishing up our series "Radical" by talking about Radical Freedom. The Bible says that he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. It says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. But what does that mean? And why do we still struggle and feel stuck, trapped, and bound up?
Radical Generosity

Radical Generosity

Did you know that God has a specific plan, purpose and destiny for your life? Did you know that you weren't just put on the earth to go to work, come home, spend a few minutes with your kids, watch some TV, go to bed and then do it all over again? Again and again and again? No! I believe with all my heart that God is speaking to us as individuals and as a church about returning to our roots... getting back to God's plan and purpose for our lives. The truth is... we are world-changers. One act of love, one moment of kindness, one word of encouragement, one small smile, one opportunity to speak a little hope to someone - these things can change the life of someone... who can change the life of another and on and on and on. In this series, we have talked about radical faith, radical joy, radical gratitude, radical love, and this week we take on the idea of radical generosity. Radical Generosity is so much more than the giving of money, it changes the way we see the world around us... it changes the way we give our time, our money, our energy, and our resources.
Radical Love

So many people are walking through life depressed, hurting, miserable and more. But what if in the midst of the storm, what if in the midst of a deep problem, things could be different? What does it mean to be a radical in this crazy world we live in? Does it mean that we're to be extreme, or fanatical, or maybe over the top? What if there was more to the word "Radical" than we ever imagined?
