Warwick ASEAN Conference (WAC) is the UK’s first and largest student-run conference focusing on ASEAN and the Southeast Asian region. Coffee Insights with WAC is a new series released by the WAC 20/21 team. Throughout a series of interviews moderated by our WAC Speakers Team, we engage some of the most esteemed professionals from various fields, as we discuss hot-button ASEAN affairs.

Episode 4: 'Defying The Storm, Transcending Traditional Boudaries'

For the 4th episode of Coffee Insights, WAC welcomed Mr Parit Wacharasindhu – founder of Startdee; an education start-up company that uses technology to give high quality and affordable education to students. The company was also dubbed as the Netflix of education by The Bangkok Post. Previously, Mr Parit graduated from the University of Oxford and worked as a consultant at Mckinsey & Company before venturing into a political career serving the Thailand Democrat Party. In today’s episode, Mr Parit discussed on the socioeconomic issues arising in the education sector due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
