It is that time of year again! The time when attention shifts away from the AP Poll and moves over to the College Football Playoff rankings. Tuesday, the College Football Playoff committee released the initial rankings for 2025. Ohio State remained at the top followed by Indiana, Texas A&M and Alabama to round out the top four. One of the most notable rankings was that of two teams who played earlier in the year. Miami, who has been struggling as of recently, came in at 18. That fell well behind a team they beat in Notre Dame who is sitting at 10. Also, the Big 12 appears to be in position to get two teams into the playoff, while the ACC looks like it will be a one-team league. Week 7 is here and it is a big week for the Big Ten's undefeated teams. The premiere matchup on Saturday will be #7 Indiana visiting #3 Oregon. On Sunday, Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey talked about how they expected Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman to be fired in the near future. By the time the episode was released, Arkansas had indeed fired Pittman, who was in his 6th season. Former Arkansas head coach, and current offensive coordinator, Bobby Petrino, has been named interim head coach and he made it clear that he is interested in removing that interim title. Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss why this may be a more desirable job than it appears and who might be a fit for the new era of Arkansas football. They also debate if Petrino has a chance at becoming the full-time head coach and how Arkansas can have a program turnaround similar to the one Ole Miss is having right now. Later, we get Ross' Congressional Minute as he explains the new SAFE Act that is being introduced into the Senate. People's Court... M.O. sued M.B., not Geico, for negligently giving her an STD. Her attorney alleged M.B. was negligent so that there was a possibility of insurance coverage. Because their insured was sued on a theory of negligence, Geico would have represented their insured under what's called a reservation of rights. At some point, Geico decided that passing on the STD was not a covered event under the policy. M.B. then filed a bad faith suit against Geico for refusing to defend him and that would have made Geico a 3rd party defendant. It's not the woman who's suing Geico - it's the man who gave her the STD. My only question is why is this case in federal court? if M.O. and M.B. both live in Kansas, the case should be i state court.
