Back on October 15th we received an unprompted transmission from a individual identifying himself only as The Sample Sourcerer. This individual said that they were in possession of a mix that may collapse our telephone service as we were sure to receive an unmanageable amount of calls as a result of the greatness of these selections. Always being a team up for adventure, we agreed to receive transmission of this mix and were quite amazed at what we heard. We apologize for the delay in sharing this mix with you, as it came in so hot through our communications portal that we had to let it sit in a liquid helium bath for 4 whole weeks before feeling it was safe to transmit through your listening device. We are proud to introduce "The Intersection" to you as our newest show on The Color In Flight Network! I've grown up with my brothers Gary and Joeangel since we were little yutes in grade school, and at times over the years our roads have diverged and yet somehow intersected again. And now in our mid-30s, we get to look back on a lifelong friendship while being equally excited about what all the future has in store. Or to put it simply, we're just three brothers who will frequently laugh until our abs hurt as evidenced by the audio on this episode. Wuddap wuddap! So Cecilia and I are 8 days away from leaving to Japan for a 10-day adventure (and my first visit to the island). In the spirit of getting ready (especially since Cil has been watching NHK ’round the clock and learning Japanese for the past 3 months), she decided it’d be a good idea for me to spend the first 45 minutes reading through the Food + Drink section of the Monocle Travel Guide to Tokyo before laying down an hour of uptempo funk/boogie burners. I hope you dig the walkthrough of the Tokyo guide (who knows…it may turn out useful for you in the near future!), and I know you’re gonna love the jams on the back half of this episode. It’s 102 degrees outside, I just drank something like 80 ounces of water, I have 2 fans pointed in my direction, I’m full of fresh-cut mangoes, and I’m on a good one. 52 minutes of jams that even made me smile as I was laying this episode down.
