Most people don't set out on a journey with plans to purposefully fail - just as most people don't set out getting married with plans to divorce. Erosion happens gradually. We wander off the trail. By the same token, most people don't set out to jeopardize their faith. But many wander - they "drift away." The author of Hebrews, using nautical terms when he writes "pay attention," meaning keep on course, and "drift away," referring to a ship that has lost its anchor, warns his readers of the dangers of drifting away; not once, but throughout the book. In this message, Pastor Rod paints a contrast between two significant lines of theological thought while emphasizing the overarching message of Hebrews 2:1-4.
How good do you have to be to get to heaven? How do you know if what you've done is good enough to get to God? In this message, Tony shares some powerful points that illustrate our need for Christ, showing what God did for us when He gave His Son, and emphasizing what Jesus meant when He said, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life!"
In this message, Kevin shares from his heart what he imagines it could have been like for Joseph as he followed the word from the Lord to take Mary, being found pregnant, as his wife. Note, in this message, Kevin will mention a minority view on whether Joseph was previously married that has been speculated on by some in the church, specifically Eastern Orthodox and Catholic faiths. This is not the majority the view held by the Evangelical church and should not be taken as such. The bigger picture in this message is understanding that Joseph was a man of God and our need to be and to see godly men, men of conviction and principle who will wholeheartedly and obediently Follow God.
As the New Year begins, we're talking about goals. What is your Greatest Goal? Maybe you'd frame it around the Greatest Commandment (Mark 12:28-31), maybe you'd aim it toward the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), or maybe you'd focus it on something else. Regardless, you are going to be spiritually powerless without the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit in your life. In this message, Pastor Tim challenges us to consider Ephesians 5:18 as contributing toward the framework in formulating and fulfilling your Greatest Goal!

James 3:13-18New International VersionTwo Kinds of Wisdom13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

James 2:14-26 NIV 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[b] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
