In this episode of Come Sis with Me, we talk about Obedience and how we can shift the paradigm in which we view it. Obedience is a lot, it’s an honor that takes commitment, but its also an opportunity to come to the end of yourself and rely on God for everything else, it’s a transformation. That’s the hardest part for some of us who like to hear “job well done” on this side of eternity. But maybe reminding yourself that even the act of obedience is your reward that can help soothe those places of trouble that you are waiting on to be answered. Like Mia has in her journey through Infertility.

In this episode of Come Sis with Me, we talk about Generosity and the 7+ things you can give. Its a blessing to be in a place of giving, but also having a generous heart creates a foundation of solidarity that sisterhood can genuinely grow from!
“Generosity… involves giving to others not simply anything in abundance but rather giving those things that are good for others. Generosity always intends to enhance the true wellbeing of those to whom it gives." (https://generosityresearch.nd.edu/more-about-the-initiative/what-is-generosity/)

In this episode of Come Sis with Me, we talk about having a compassionate heart and spirit that will deposit that into your encounters with the women you meet. Compassion is an essential element in relationships, especially in Sisterhood and differs from that of Empathy. Compassion and empathy both refer to a caring response to someone else’s distress. While empathy refers to an active sharing in the emotional experience of the other person, compassion adds to that emotional experience a desire to alleviate the person’s distress (Websters Dictionary, https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/compassion).
"Compassion runs deep and penetrates; it goes beyond the often-fleeting circumstance of the moment"-Mia
"Compassion extended, yields a deeper return"- Mia
