Hello!! Thank you for listening to this humble little podcast which tries to cover the Northern Colorado Comedy Scene. I am your host. Rudy Garcia, and I am talking about the G-town open mic grind as well as other comedy clubs that should be on your radar. Greeley used to have a different place Monday through Friday where artists could get together, enjoy a couple drinks and each others company. Covid hit a huge reset button on all that. Now that things are semi-normal the grind is slowly starting to take shape for the 2021-2022 season. Here is your tentative open mic schedule for northern colorado: Monday- Comedy Fort, Fort Collins, signup @6pm.  Gentry's Bar, Greeley, signup @9pm. Tuesday- Atrium Bar, Fort Collins, Signup @7pm (Bi-weekly).  Dillinger's Bar, Cheyenne, Signup @8:30pm Wednesday- Patrick's Irish Pub, Greeley, Signup @8pm.  Checkout MoxiTheater.com for some really great shows coming up. Get on the Comedy Fort mailing list. Check out Comedy Fighters with Jeremiah Chingee Chinegwu on August 29th at Rise Comedy in Denver!
Hello! Thank you for listening! Today I'm driving home from the newest open mic in Fort Collins, CO: The Atrium! Hosted by the one and only Pat Macholl! I'm catching you up on all the latest Northern Colorado Comedy News!
Hey everyone! Had some random thoughts after the Comedy Fort Open Mic on 7-5-21. If you weren't there you missed out on one of the most brutal 2 hours of open mic I've ever heard to date.  Thanks for listening! Support Moxi Theater, Comedy Fort, Syntax Spirits Distillery, Greeley Hatchet House, 477 Distilling and High Brau Taphouse!!
Look it's not easy to get people to come to stinktown to throw axes. Most agree to it then forget. When that happens, I take the podcast to the world and see what happens. This week was fun. I hosted the Cinco De Mayo Comedy Showcase at Dilinger's Bar in Cheyenne, WY. The next day I scoped the New Talent Night at Comedy Works South in Denver, CO.  A great week for comedy I hope you enjoy our ramblings. Huge thank you to both Dominic Syracuse and Rosa Mariposa for their contributions to the podcast this week.  The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are mine. They do not necessarily reflect the values and morals of Dilinger's Bar, 477 Distilling, Greeley Hatchet House, Moxi Theater, Comedy Works etc. This podcast is financially indigent and should not be heard by anyone.  Support your favorite local comedian! Buy their merch and tickets to their shows! Support the venues that love stand up comedy!!
Hey everybody! We're talking about Denver's Open Mic Comedy grind for up and coming stand up comedians. This is where we do work. This is where we sharpen a punchline or make the tension a bit tighter in a premise. This is where we try out personas and crowd work. So If you've been wondering how to get more work done with your comedy, give the episode a listen, have a paper and pen handy; cause i'm talking about 8 venues all up and down Colorado where you can work on your craft.  Comics in Bars Throwing Axes wants to thank 477 Distilling and the Greeley Hatchet House for their continued support of the podcast. Get to downtown Gtown and support these businesses! Episode music is "Starfish" by Sister Hazel.
