The KDKD Pet of the Week is Pepper! This sweet, perfectly medium-sized heeler-mix is a little shy at first. You might have to work to earn Pepper's trust--and you'll definitely want a fenced yard you can trust before you let her off leash, to be safe--but Pepper is just waiting for her forever human to trade her a little patience at first, for a whole lot of love.
Toby just might be the new recordholder for tiniest Pet of the Week. A small, fuzzy gray kitten recovering from an animal bite on his hip who is absolutely, overwhelmingly, adorable--and not a bit humble about it, either. 🥰
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Brianna! A sweet, peppy terrier mix with perky ears and cookies-and-cream socks who loves treats and snuggles, looking for a foster home to give her some peace and quiet (and treats and snuggles) while she recovers from heartworms.
Dominic may be the "puppiest" puppy I've ever met: waggy tail, floppy ears, tons of playful curiosity, cute clumsiness with adorable disregard for minor bonks and trips, and puppy breath! He's a gorgeous coppery red with floppy ears and a touch of natural eyeliner, with lanky legs and sturdy paws that suggest he may be tall someday. He loves people and exploring and chewing and kisses, and he's so gosh-darn cute that even Miss Laura had to take a minute or two and laugh at his adorable antics.
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Chachi! He's a bigger fellow who LOVES snuggles--and while Chachi is much too polite to PUSH his way into your lap, he's a skillful strategist when it comes finding the most efficient lounge that will allow him to reach everyone in the room for maximum snuggles.
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Fawn! She may look and sound tough at first meeting, but it doesn't take long to realize this big girl is actually just a big teddy bear who loves hugs and kisses, and could delicately take a dog biscuit out of a card house without knocking it over (if one could withstand the breeze from her wagging tail, that is). Her voice might sound growly, but 5 minutes with Fawn will prove that she's not angry--she's just making sure everyone within earshot notices how sweet she is.
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Juliet! An absolute DARLING of a puppy who needs a foster home to help her recover from a recent removal of an unfortunate abcess--not that she lets that slow her down much. 🥰
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Wrigley! A probable Yorkie or Silkie with gorgeous silver highlights and a fondness for lap-napping.
This KDKD Pet of the Week is named after a famous football player who is proud to fight for his right to paaaaaartay! Unlike his namesake, Travis Kelce the Dog, who politely asks if it's time to party yet, and thinks that a really off-the-hook party means an ear scratch and a belly rub at the same time. He may not be very wild, but, man, is he ever sweet.
What's black and white and sweeter than cookies AND cream put together? This week's KDKD Pet of the Week, Janie!
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Michelle! To be fair, we're not 100% sure Michelle would actually enjoy swimming--that's just a hunch. But she DID demonstrate an impressive standing hop onto the countertop to say hi to our news director through the window, so if you can convince her to try swimming, we're confident that Michelle would be a very successful dock dog--and as much as Michelle loves treats, training should be a breeze.
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Morgan! Exactly one standard lapful, with the cutest freckles on her nose, and ready to be the best family dog you have ever met. Sweet, snuggly, smart, energetic: Miss Morgan is the total package.
Peanut is a sweet, dignified gentleman with impeccable manners and one ear that flops over adorably when he's relaxed, and perks right back up when you rattle the treat jar.
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Buck the Explorer! His ancestral origins are a mystery, and his future size is hard to guess--that just means his forever family is going to be brave explorers who love to find out new things, like Buck does!
Today Laura and Adrianne talk about two pets who are under veterinary care and unable to visit the studio in person, as well as the upcoming fundraiser and the incredible contributions of the Clinton Animal Shelter's volunteers and foster parents.
Chris is a little over a year old, and a little bit bigger than one standard lapful--but not for lack of trying on his part. Bright, alert, and eager to please, Chris is happy to go on any adventure you plan out--especially if there interesting smells along the way and treats and hugs waiting at the end.
Shinji is a smallish medium Shiba Inu with a ton of personality. His gorgeous red fur complements his foxy face and perky ears very well and gives a distinct impression of intelligence with what may be a healthy dose of mischief once he settles in and gets comfortable. Don't get me wr
The KDKD Pet of the Week is Ollie! He is a snuggly, playful armful, maybe 12 weeks old? Young enough to be teething, as Adrianne's fingers, arms, and ponytail can attest. He'll learn quickly with the right family to teach him manners, though, especially if you reward good behavior with TrEaTs! Ollie's very fond of treats--and who could help being very fond of Ollie????
