The war over skinny jeans, side parts, and the 😂 emoji rages on — but what’s really behind the Millennial vs. Gen Z feud?In this episode we break down the cultural clash between two generations raised on Wi-Fi, caffeine, and emotional damage. From the evolution of humor to the rise of ironic detachment, we hilariously dissects why Gen Z thinks Millennials are “cringe,” why Millennials can’t stop oversharing, and how social media keeps us pitted against each other. But beneath the memes and middle parts lies a deeper truth: both generations are just trying to survive late-stage capitalism, mental health crises, and the algorithm — in their own weird ways.🧠 Chapters:00:00 – Intro: The Generational Feud Nobody Asked For02:02 – Millennials: The Analog-to-Digital Transition05:07 – Gen Z: Digital Natives & Social Awareness07:38 – Cultural Cringe: The Divide Gets Petty10:17 – Social Media: The Algorithm Loves Drama13:16 – The Evolution of Humor Online15:51 – Finding Common Ground & Collaboration18:28 – Why We Actually Need Each Other20:55 – Conclusion: Embrace the CringeOur Sponsors:* Check out Kensington Publishing: https://www.kensingtonbooks.com* Check out Secret Nature and use my code KELSEY for a great deal: https://secretnature.comSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/confidently-insecure/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
In this episode of Hoes Throughout History, we dive deep into the unhinged, unstoppable, and undeniably iconic life of Empress Wu Zetian — the first and only female emperor of China. From concubine to supreme ruler of the Tang dynasty, Wu played the political game like a damn chess master while rewriting what it meant to be a woman in power...and the brutal rumors spread by salty men who couldn’t handle her crown. Was she ruthless? Sure. Revolutionary? Absolutely.🎧 Chapters: 00:00 — Introduction to Empress Wu Zetian 03:08 — The Rise of Wu Zhao: From Concubine to Empress 11:55 — Wu Zetian’s Reign: Power, Politics, and Reform 15:59 — The Fall of Wu Zetian: Abdication and LegacyOur Sponsors:* Check out Kensington Publishing: https://www.kensingtonbooks.com* Check out Secret Nature and use my code KELSEY for a great deal: https://secretnature.comSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/confidently-insecure/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Breakups used to end when you gave back the hoodie and blocked their AIM screen name. But now? Your ex is still in your group chat, haunting your Spotify playlists, and popping up in your “On This Day” memories like a digital poltergeist. 💀In this episode of Confidently Insecure, I’m unpacking the new hellscape of digital breakups — from the psychology of why we hold onto those tiny online connections, to the emotional chaos of navigating shared group chats, and the art of a full-on digital exorcism (delete, block, cleanse, repeat). We’ll talk about what it actually takes to move on in the age of social media, how to reclaim your digital space, and why closure isn’t something they give you — it’s something you create. If you’ve ever said “I’m totally over them” while still checking their Venmo feed... this one’s for youOur Sponsors:* Check out Kensington Publishing: https://www.kensingtonbooks.com* Check out Secret Nature and use my code KELSEY for a great deal: https://secretnature.comSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/confidently-insecure/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

✨ mental health • feminism • community living • relationships ✨In today’s episode we’re diving headfirst into the big messy questions: what does it mean to build a life outside of men and outside of society’s “timeline”?I break down the Bird’s Nest community (a women-only living space where companionship > coupledom), the rise of the 4B movement in South Korea (spoiler: no men, no marriage, no babies, no problem?), and how timeline grief sneaks up on us when we realize we’re not living the script we were handed. We’ll talk money (aka financial independence = freedom), self-discovery, and why reinvention at literally ANY age is not only allowed, it’s necessary. wait .... neither of you have really heard of Anne Boleyn?? King Henry??? this king Henry?? i mean, there's movies & books & podcasts & tv etc and ... okayyyyy yes, well, ok... um, so much more info out there that could have shared about Anne & Co. in a fun way. maybe you're out of practice as this episode didn't go well compared to the other hoes Stories?? I listened for Jazzmyne more than kelsey. maybe next time, if there is one, it'll be more thorough as the stories are 🦇💩 crazy and entertaining.

Someone should count how many times Kelsey says 'like' during the episode. I lost count and can not handle it again. this and the other distractions of incomplete research and speaking incomplete words is distracting and takes away from the seriousness of the topic. dont want those distractions? short version- HPV is a real thing. talk to your doc about it and ask questions! HPV isn't the worst thing that could happen to you but don't avoid dealing with it either.

this was possibly the most disappointing podcasts ever. which makes me SO SAD because I love HTH. Kate was so annoying and would always interrupt Kelsey to say something dumb or make annoying noises. the whole podcast was 10-12 mins of Giulia Tofana's story the rest is Kate interrupting and getting everyone side tracked. I never felt this annoyed from a podcast like ever. so sad because I love HTH.

I cant believe you're sleeping on Burnettes Vodka! I loved the cherry vodka with minute maid cherry limeade. Also fried bologna is actually a thing. It bubbles up when you fry it. lol but burnettes taste like a top shelf alcohol for real. since you can't taste the vodka atleast try the fried bologna sandwich please. love you and your show.
